There could be some pretty good stories with this topic, so please share!

I have done this quite often at work & I am pretty sure a lot of other folks have done the same. You really need to find out about the context. If you flip off the CEO, your boss or even certain other folks it might spell disaster. However - flipping off when folks aren't looking, flipping off your laptop or flipping off people that really don't matter is no big deal. It is actually therapeutic.

I wouldn't even think of it as being an option to be honest.

Hard for me to pass judgement on this...

I'm guessing he probably gets what's coming to him eventually.

As always, every time we flip the bird there is always an associated risk involved.

VERY rarely and it's always to a work 'friend' in a joking manner, usually if I'm getting some crap for something lol (like, "We went out last night and this guy over here is a light weight. You should've seen him try to hit on this girl." something like that (in real life I'm FAR from a light weight).

But never in a serious manner or do I flip someone off. Even a situation like the above, it's VERY rare. Something about giving the middle finger... people can't hear the context of how you're using it, they can't tell the tone of your voice when you drop the F bomb, and the F bomb is just routinely used by VPs, directors, execs, etc. Middle finger to me comes off fairly crass and usually gets reserved for the road.

If I had to put a # over my 8 years professionally... honestly it's like twice. Both again used in a non-work manner to work-friends or colleagues (never someone higher up).

It's sort of an unwritten rule at my work. If you're driving a truck, and you meet one of the other 2 drivers, you shoot them a bird and say fuck you over the cb.

It's all for fun. It's me and my 3 best friends, and the boss gets in on the act.

Get a bunch of Ball Ground and Free Home rednecks together and you can throw etiquette out the window.

Oh I get that, I'll flip the bird in a heart beat if I see someone who I probably shouldn't. Best when they first see me, they see the bird and then my big grin before they realize who it is and what's going on.
