Fitz back with the Jets

Agreed. The Jets will win with the running game and defense but 10 games is probably the best they can do. High quality QB's will win an extra 2 or 3 games with their arm and control of the game.

Yep and they also had an easier schedule last year so ten may be tough. Fitz is also prone to fall back to....well Fitz.

I like the guy, I really do and wish Dallas had been able to come up with somebody 1/2 as good last year sans Romo.

But I'm having a really hard time reconciling $12,000,000 with mediocre.

Figured the Jets would give in, they are built to win now. Fitz may be marginal, but Geno was hopeless.

Fitz wanted $15mil...$12 mil has been on the table for a while...if the Jets caved it was the 1 yr and maybe the incentive...I just think there was no reason to do anything much quicker for either side.

If I were Fitz I would've taken the extra 2 yrs with some kind of guarantee...I don't forsee him doing much better than LY and garnering a bigger deal.

$12M is barely even mediocre for QBs this year though. According to Spotrac, there are 16 QBs with a bigger cap hit if you assume Fitz hits all his incentives, and 20 making more if you don't. $12M puts him right there with Sam Bradford and Brock Osweiler. Seems about right.
