Absolute stinker tonight. One of those games where the Caps were fighting the puck at every turn. Couldn't make a pass to save their lives. When one does connect, it explodes off their sticks. Several passes straight to Canes in dangerous areas. Just godawful. Add to that the Canes were flying around and playing well and you get the demolition that was tonights game. These games happen every once in a while. Hopefully they play better on Thursday...can't really play any worse...

Mad props to Carolina for the game they brought tonight. Active legs, active sticks, they played strong and got the win. Didn’t figure we’d beat them 8 straight this year. Need to bounce back next game. 1st line has showed up, time for the 2nd and 3rd lines to get going.

Yep - until very late in the game (i.e. garbage time) the Caps only had 11-12 shots on goal for the game - pathetic. They didn't help Holtby in the least on the other end. Hopefully they show up on Thu.

Yeah I thought the Caps actually had the better of it for the first 7-8 minutes of the game. Lots of high danger chances in the O zone where we couldn't quite get the shot off or on net. But after that this one was all Canes. This wasn't our game, the whole thing was too open and played more to their style. We definitely miss Michael Kempny. He and Carlson went up another level this year, while Nisky and Orlov dropped down one.

Hopefully it's a wake up call. I want to see something from Kuzy and Vrana in game 4. I want to see fewer drop passes. I want to see harder skating. I want to see some dump and chase and some grinding.

On the plus side, the Penguins are down 3-0.

Oh for sure. It's always both guys but just hearing a lot of sportscaster up here acting like it's some big deal for Ovi. The kid was in way over his head and should learn his lesson here. I just find it kinda funny.
