Ravens just came out in the second half and got smoked, Denver made great half time adjustments and handed it to my boys. The Ravens are going to have to learn to beat man-to-man coverage on offense of this is going to be a long year for them, not to mention they need to learn to catch. The Ravens Defense was just gassed in the second half, and well that's part coaching and first game of the season. Good news for us Ravens fans is it's only one game.

Congrats to the Broncos they were the better team last night,.

Turning point of the game. When Welker dropped that "catch" and ravens didnt challenge. I realize the broncos got to the line quick but man that seemed to change the tide.

Doesn't help the ravens were the away team and probably didnt have the best views or ways to see the replay up stairs to radio to John. Baltimore should of been at home too lol.

I predicted the Broncos would take this one, but I also think the Ravens will go further in the playoffs. Big defeats like this can leave one thinking the Ravens are terrible and the Broncos are amazing, but it's really just one win / loss.

The Ravens are going to need some time to gel IMO. They have a lot of new faces. But when they do, they could be very dangerous. Especially on defense.

I don't know. I agree this is just one game, but the Ravens are very thin on offense. As soon as they lost Oher and Jones, their offensive productivity just collapsed. I'd expect the offense to improve as the year progresses, but they've got a long way to go. I think they're vulnerable.

It would have been a different game if the lights went out. It would have been a much closer game, no doubt.

I think it probably would have been. The Ravens' D was gassed in the second half. A 30-minute break would have been big for them.

The 9ers are the only NFL team to have an advantage when the lights go out. You didn't get that memo? The Ravens blew it...need to do some adjustments...but it happens that teams start out slow. Peyton was on fire last night on that D. He has always been good in the regular season. Playoffs....not so much.

I think blackouts and other delays can be a pretty big deal depending on the timing. But it's hard to say that about the super bowl blackout as it basically happened right after the half. The teams had rested, there was a natural break in the momentum. They made adjustments. It's pretty typical for a second half to look completely different from a first half even without a lengthy delay, as we saw last night. So I think it's tough to say the blackout helped the Niners all that much. The Niners did the same sort of reversal in the NFC Championship game without the benefits of the lights going out.

Didn't the Ravens score on the first drive of the second half or was that the kickoff return that happen before the lights went out? I think just like any other game interruptions can change the momentum and that's what happened.

The Ravens won anyway (the SB ) . I just like to comment every time some poster mentions it as a factor(lights out) . Both teams get the rest, both teams can reset some game plans. Teams that are on a roll might falter. I would never count the Ravens out of this season because of one game.

The Ravens scored on the opening kickoff of the second half and then the lights went out early in the next drive. As memory serves, the Niners' drive was interrupted and fizzled after the lights came back on, but after that they took off.

I agree game interruptions can hinder momentum. And there was probably some of that in this case. However, given the timing, I think the effect of the blackout has been overstated by some parties.

Payton is on a mission. He has so many weapons. That was fun to watch last night.

Crimson is 100% right. We were driving and then its stalled because of the lights. Reason we came back because we started playing 49er football and ravens thought they had it in the bag. Overall it ended up being a great super bowl. I still cant believe Flacco won a superbowl. So overrated.

Thats like saying the Delay last night cost them the game. No both teams had to wait. Denver was by far the better team on the field last night.

That home field advantage in the altitude, especially when you play a run and gun offense, is huge. It really showed in the 2nd half. Baltimore was gassed.

I was going to check out that v-cash thing but missed out on this game. Do they only go by the spread or is there an even for bids?

False. It's your money, now; respect it.

Where's the fun in that? I put money aside for football betting each year and bet till its gone or the season is over, whichever happens first. But this is the first time I've shot the whole wad on the first game. I was so certain that Denver would dominate that game that I wasn't afraid to do it. I have to admit, I was a little worried at halftime with Denver trailing 17-14 but as I expected, the altitude and home field advantage edge would really kick in in the second half. I guess everyone gets one right once in a while.

Ahh, I see. You're a gambler. I just like to bet.
