* David Wright got HBP on the helmet in last night's game..a change-up by Hellweg in the 3rd...and was removed as a precaution.
Terry Collins said David Wright does not have a concussion. The sole issue is the swollen right thumb at this point....and Doctors advised to wait until tomorrow... he jammed it when he fell after the HBP, so it's not head-related.

NEW YORK -- The New York Mets are nearing a two-year contract extension with manager Terry Collins that includes a team option for 2016, a team source said.

The deal, which is not yet complete, likely will be announced Monday. Collins, 64, has a 224-260 record in three seasons at the Mets' helm entering Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Brewers. The Mets are 73-87 and in third place in the National League East this season. Despite the underwhelming record, Collins has done a solid job keeping the Mets playing hard amid several obstacles, including injuries to key players...

FFS...what a stupid move.
Looks like more of the same in 2014....Ughhhhh.
