Final Four Predictions

B1G is still the best conference, IMO. The only competition is the ACC which has zero Final Four teams. The SEC, as always, is Florida, Kentucky and nobody else. The B1G has more depth.

I thought Florida and Kentucky were preseason picks to the final four though.. Granted Kentucky had their struggles and people thought they would get knocked out early..

As I recall, Kentucky was preseason #1 and Florida was not even in the top 20.

This is why Kentucky was picked pre-season #1. They are fulfilling their potential which is exactly what a pre-season should tell us.

I have Florida winning it all but that's all I have left. I had Kentucky to knock of Wichita State but also picked Arizona in the finals. That one point loss cost me my bracket championship since no one had Kentucky and only a few had Wisconsin. It all was going according to hoyle if Arizona could just pull out that game. Oh well, there is always next year. Who knows maybe Duke next year with all their good incoming recruits.

And if you look at all of the teams, in no way shape or form, by any definition I can find, can you claim the SEC is the "best" conference.

Congrats to Florida and UK. THey've earned their spots in the Final Four. Congrats to the rest of the teams in the SEC that weren't very good, but will get a share of that sweet Final Four $$$$ anyway.

I was hoping you would see the irony; all year long the SEC catches shit from PAC, B1G, Big12..etc about how horrible the teams play. I'm just giving back some of the shit that came our way. I really have no idea regarding how good a given conference plays; not sure anyone else does either. It was a "feel good" thing on my part.

Having 2 of the 14 teams that make up the SEC in the Final Four does not make it the best conference "by definition". It makes Florida and Kentucky two of the best teams in the country.

Florida ran roughshod over the SEC (18-0). Kentucky was shaky all season due to youth and inexperience (and also lost games to MSU, Baylor and UNC from the B1G, B12 and ACC), but in the last month has only lost to Florida. Those two are head and shoulders above the rest of the SEC.

Compare that to Wisconsin, a Final Four team that lost its conference games to 7 different B1G teams during the season. Same for the Big Ten's two other Elite 8 teams. That conference has depth.

It's tough to recall correctly when you started watching basketball two months ago, well after the preseason rankings came out. I'll help you out:

10th and 8th in the two preseason polls.

Wisconsin was the lowest ranked FF team in the preseason at 20 and 21, respectively.
