And one more problem with getting them to sign a legit free agent bat, we now will need them to sign at least two. Teo, no matter how bad he struggled at times, is a 90-100 RBI guy that most likely will walk. So first we have to replace a 90-100 RBI guy just to get back to even, then add a legit stud to help carry this thing over the goal line. And I would not argue with anyone saying we need two legit stud bats plus replace Teo when he walks.

So yes you are correct we need the ability to spend $$$, but I will argue that a good manager can adapt. There are 3 teams below us in payroll that have better records than us and one (Rays) are always better than us. So I am in the group that says we need to spend more and we need new leadership that picks the players.

What are names of potential good to great gm's are out there who will come in and build and maintain the good AND add on to it? A real baseball guy with a vision who values their ability to get shit done and won't come onboard unless owners assure them they'll pave the way? Anything else is just another empty shirt that can be scapegoated away in 5 years after Stanton and co collect another few more billion in revenue.

Oh no you must have misunderstood me. No GM of value will come here with our history. I am just saying it can be done with the money we spent, but that requires a real GM. You have to hire an up and comer who wants his first shot and is a hidden genius in somebody's system. Oh lord no we can't do that....lol.

I really don't think they deserve the playoffs. Cheap ass owner tried to get it done on the cheap cheap. Hollywood President blew smoke up are collective asses for years now and is clueless. Our invisible GM is...well I don't know what he is because nobody ever sees him. The fans, well the real fans, they deserve it. It is owed to them/us. A professional team is an integral part of the community and not just a business. There should be performance based taxes levied against teams that don't mean a certain standard. It is tax dollars that built them so they should be held accountable to certain standards.

Its just a team full of average to below average MLB players.

No veteran clubhouse leadership. The entire bench sees all the starters batting .235 swinging for the fences every at bat, so they figure that is the path to staying on the 25 man roster and hanging around to be bumped up to starter.

No GM so to speak and a skip who took so many foul balls off his protective cup it knocked his balls out of place and he has never found them.

I feel sorry for any fan(s) who paid to see tonites shit show of a game
