I mean Elliot just stated ND was his dream school but ND didnt offer him as a RB. ND still means a lot to college kids.
*does not hold
I'm sure it doesn't but I think that has less to do with Notre Dame and more to do with the Buckeye players having already moved on to the NFL after missing out on the playoff.
Max Redfield Sent Home from Fiesta Bowl for Violation of Team RulesBad news for the Irish. 2 Starters are out. Max was sent home for violating team rules and Butler broke a bone in his foot. Taking their spots will be Soph Nick Watkins and Fresh Nick coleman.
Jarron Jones and CJ will play.
That was probably an auto-correct. Even your computer knows about the ND mystique.
When you have to be forty plus years old to remember something about Notre Dame football bigger than the movie Rudy, some of the mystique may have worn off.
Mystique does not wear off. That is something that a fan of a school with no mystique will probably never understand. You should try asking someone from Alabama, they could also help explain it to you.
So, what you're saying is that it can get to a point where mystique is all you have left?
ND possesses enough 'mystique' to be in the same Bowl game as the Suckeyes, so I guess there is that.
You might have a valid point thar, Slink, however I like to count finishing the 2012 regular CFB season in the pole position (that's numero uno for non-NASCAR folx) and playing in the NCG against the NFL's undeclared 33rd team that year.I'd say it was based on their solid play this season, not the "mystique" generated by their play a half century ago, but I'll go with whatever you say.
100% true. ND is back and Kids want to come to ND. We are starting to turn away players. Kelly has brought ND back. I mean he brought us to a NC game. The 1st time since Holtz. If he stays for at least another 3-5 more years I think we win a NC during that time. I mean most would agree that ND was a Top 5 team this year. We can beat any of the teams in the playoffs this year. Same can be said about OSU.I would say that under Brian Kelly Notre Dame have been one of the better teams in college football maybe not at a Saban or Meyer kind of level but certainly one of the best. I would also say that before Tressel came on board Ohio State hadn't been what it was all college go through it. The difference for Notre Dame is they have a higher academic standard that eliminates some players that the Ohio State's or Alabama's can go after so rebuilding will take a little longer and it has. Personally I like the overconfidence of Ohio State fan's potentially the players and the media giving them the victory.
well clemson pulling away. looks like we were better oklahoma. this game might get ugly. we lost by 2 on the road. oklahoma looking like they are overrated again. Stoops struggles in big games.
