Now I'm starting to feel like a peasant that everyone is shitting on me for not drinking dark beers.

Tomorrow night I'll order dark beers for tHoop.

Dark beers are more likely to have more impurities. They are also likely to have more calories.

LoL just givin ya a hard time! I have just noticed that IPA's are all the rave with the younger folks these days. I try to try different beers, including IPA's and while they arent bad tasting and are more than drinkable when i say i want to spend 15-20 on a 12 pack i go for dark.
Yeah, if you are just looking to get drunk and don't care, nothing wrong with an IPA. If you want flavor and something more than just a buzz, a good stout goes a long way.

All us college kids went from drinking natty light at frat parties to IPAs at the bars. It definitely is a millennial thing.

Yup, i can literally drink just about anything. When im being cheap and going to plan on drinking like all day i go cheap like bush/keystone/highlife but when i want to enjoy the drink and what have ya i go for a dark beer with fantastic taste. Not sure what im going to have the wife bring home just yet, but she has agreed to make a run for me!!!

EDIT: almost forgot the obligatory :suds:

These are both false statements.

Beer is darker or lighter depending on how much the barley is toasted (or not) before brewing. Toasted grain produces darker wort, and darker beer.

Almost all of the calories in any beer (aside from flavored beers) are from alcohol. A lower calorie beer just has less alcohol, and you end up drinking more of them.

I had the milk stout from Engine 9 about a week ago. Really smooth. Wasn't the strongest I've had, but wasn't weak either.

I've never been to the Rhein Haus in Tacoma but you should go there. Really cool atmosphere. The one on Cap Hill is a bunch of former frat boys and sorority girls, which is why I like it because I run into friends, but it's a cool place.

Weren't people saying that at half time of your bowl game last night? How'd that work out.

PSU has been clearly dominate in all 3 phases of the game so far and there is little sign any of that will substantially change.

Of course 14 points isn't entirely out of it just on pure points to time left, but UW just didn't bring their best today and it has shown. It would take a pretty weird turn around to make it a game at this point.

Actually no they weren’t, our D only gave up 277 yards the entire game, our problem was our OL. Washington is the top team with regards to D in the PAC.

Even if we score a touchdown here, I don't have confidence in this defense right now. Penn State just looks like a better team.

About time for a TO, but Penn State doesn't get a lot of those.

The milk stout I had the other day was nearly 8%
O'leary's Milk Stout - Engine House No. 9 - Untappd

And it really didn't feel that strong compared to the others in that area. You can't drink a lot of those normally because they are that strong.
