It is different writers, even thought Kirkman oversees both shows. And it is not a prequel to TWD. It is simply in the same universe. What we are watching now on Fear takes place at approximately the same time as S1 of TWD.

Trying to have an open mind about the show (simply because of TWD), but it's been pretty dumb so far. There must be different writers than the other show. They have characters do stupid shit...like not turning your zodiac around to face back toward the water after going to the plane crash and like the mexican guy wasting his magazine firing at a whole herd from distance.

The rim of that pit giving way under Nick's feet and the fact they could fight their way out of that herd basically untouched was too much also.

So far the show is written more like Lost than TWD imo.

If all you knew about society was from what you watched on tv, you would swear that at least 40% of the population is gay. Not the approx 4% that it actually is.

There are numerous flaws in the logic of that story. It's mostly a spin that the media puts on it. I won't go off on a tangent about it but I'll just point out the most obvious flaw in that logic. That is the fact that drug company executives and their families are not immune to cancer. Also it's a potential cure, not a fact at this point. Anyone is free to fund the research to see if it is an actual cure. Or perhaps scientists could offer their services for free for the greater good. No reason why it all needs to fall on the drug companies.
