We grew up with the same Braves team. I would throw Smoltz in there.

My favorite was probably Pete Rose though. I was a kid and he was a hitting machine, chasing down the record. It was exciting. He was an exciting player.

Just wondering who everyone's favorite player of all time is.

For mine growing up I gotta go with Griffey. Dude was just fucking unbelievable. As good an all around player as I think has ever played the game. It killed me to see him fall apart when he finally joined my Reds.

I'm with ya. Griffey is far and away my favorite of all time as well. He had such a sweet swing.
