Griffey Jr. is without a doubt my favorite player of all time. He was badass and did it the right way. He wasn't a diva and you could always tell he truly enjoyed playing the game for the game itself. To this day I use #24 as my number on any sports game, I incorporate it into most of my passwords, used it as my number when I played baseball and basketball, it's in all my email addresses. I had entire baseball card albums for just Griffey Jr. cards. I was so hoping he would go to Atl but broke my heart and went to Cincy.

I was at his first career grand slam, which also happened to be Mike Schmidt's last game played.

I think that a lot of the marketting success the Giants are experiencing today is thanks to Nuschler and all the kids he made into Giants fans in the late 80s/early 90s.

This is an obscure one, but Al Leiter was always my favorite Mets player. Not sure about outside of the Mets. Always liked Ripken and Tony Gwynn.

For non-Giants, I always loved Ripken and Ricky.

As respected as Ricky is, I still think he is under-rated. I think he belongs in the discussion for top 5 OF of all time.
