Thanks Face.
Appreciate the posts and i was agreeing with you until you posted this ^^^^.

If Najee is tearing it up as a runner, why would they give Warren an equal amount of touches? Or maybe your "split" is not 50/50.
It's not 50-50... But its close.

2023 Stats:

Najee Harris:
53.13% Snap share of total offense
255 Carries
38 Pass Targets (29 receptions)

Jaylen Warren:
48.46% Snap share of total offense
149 Carries
74 Pass Targets (61 Receptions)

Not sure how this will shake out in Arthur Smith's offense. But I still think Tomlin has some control of the offense, and he loves to ride his RBs.

Patrick Mahomes said "[Andy Reid] is really pushing us to push [the ball] down the field” in OTAs.
Mahomes has relied on short-to-intermediate passing over the last three years, culminating in a career-low 6.9-yard aDot in 2023. The team refocused on the downfield passing game this offseason by adding speed to the wide receiver corps and featuring deep-ball passing in OTAs. Mahomes is reportedly honing his connection with free agent signee Marquise Brown. According to The Athletic’s Nate Taylor, nearly half of Mahomes’ Wednesday passing attempts traveled 20-plus yards downfield.

Well Patrick, gotta break those cover two shells first, and you do that by RUNNING THE DAMNED BALL, not trying to outrun coverage

Yes. They better fix something. Only two Super bowls? Chuck it, Pat.

Well that's the thing, NOT pushing the ball downfield has resulted in back to back SB wins. Why push to change that?

But, if you do, just telling Worthy to run fast, run far, every down isn't going to do it

I feel this is the type of logic that leads a team to thinking Kadarius Toney can be your #1 WR. We kinda saw this play out last year.

But... they won a SB..so....??
They made it to a Super Bowl with 3 to 5 backup offensive linemen for most of the season, too. Maybe not the best template.

Always try to improve because teams will take something away from you going into the next season. As long as Mahomes is back there, though, they're always in a game.

meanwhile yet another Chiefs player has legal issues...Isiah Buggs, dog abuse. His agent makes it seem much ado about nothing, but, geesh.

All aboard the Trey Lance Hype Train V 2.0-

Cowboys HC Mike McCarthy said he’s “definitely” seeing significant progress from Trey Lance this offseason.
Lance continues to work his way back to relevance after being traded to the Cowboys in exchange for a fourth-round draft pick last summer. Lance didn’t play a regular season snap in 2023, but McCarthy said, “He’s close to being a master of the system” and that Lance has a “really high understanding.” He added that getting Lance as many reps as possible will be key to him taking the next step in his development. Lance’s long-term NFL future is very much up in the air at this time, but the Cowboys may have some underlying incentives — particularly when it comes to Dak Prescott’s contract situation — to develop him as best they can. If he displays the potential that made him the No. 3 pick in the 2021 draft, it’s possible he will eventually get a chance to battle for a starting job with the Cowboys or elsewhere.

The longer the Cowboys go without extending Dak, the more these rumblings will bubble up

Besides the Mavs and Stars, this is the hot topic on Dallas radio stations these days. That and the fact that Dak and McCarthy are in full blown lame duck status.
