True on all counts.

They remind me of a team that just assumes they can "flip a switch" at any given time and win a game...but their switch is broken
I might give you a pass on the "flip a switch" talent, but they are so badly coached and badly managed, it's laughable. Shanahan's management crew proved that.

Oh I attribute that "flip a switch" mentality, directly onto the coaching staff and on up into ownership.

Not sure I agree with you totally, but I get what you're sayin'. I can't help but blame Dak for quite a bit of this. That said, yes. The coaching staff and especially ownership are terrible. These days, the "Old Boy Network" is not a good thing in the NFL. Except maybe for the owners' wallets.

Oh yes Dak too...I mean you name a name, and outside of Diggs, Parsons, and maybe Dan Quinn...I'd say it applies to all of em, players, coaches, the whole lot of em.
I would say trade and cut the whole lot of em and start over...but so long as Jerra hangs around...doesn't matter, it'll just get repeated

While I thought they were foolish to fire Flores in the first place, it was a GM/Ownership thing.

That said, this would be a brilliant signing.

This guy is SO ready to be a head coach and he will implement Tua Time!

NFL Insider Albert Breer reports the Dolphins will interview 49ers OC Mike McDaniel for its head-coaching vacancy on Wednesday.

McDaniel, a hot name in last year's coaching cycle, only strengthened his candidacy with a successful run in his first year as San Francisco's offensive coordinator. Although McDaniel does not actually call plays underneath Kyle Shanahan, the team's players (and other coaches) have raved about him. The 37-year-old also began his NFL coaching journey under former Washington coach Mike Shanahan, serving on the same staff as Sean McVay, Matt LaFleur, Shanahan, and several others. More teams are expected to eventually bring him in for an interview.

Somebody would have to exceptionaly dense to sell low on Lamb, but hey, ill bet they'reout there somewhere. Now, Jerry Juedy....there's a buy low that you MIGHT get done

The Cowboys are exceptionally dense to play Lamb as their WR3 when all the top dogs are healthy.

Well he gets open REALLY well when playing outta the slot, so playing him there, like a traditional "WR3", isn't a terrible idea..the problem is not throwing him the ball like a 1A or 1B, and still throwing to Gallup instead..so it either Dak or Kellen Moore depending in play design.

Even bigger issue pertaining to "density" is having Cedric Wilson on the feild at all, let alone consistently throwing him the ball over Cooper/Lamb

Playing him in the slot is fine.

Lots of WR1s play out of the slot at times.

What is not fine is limiting him to 70-75% of the snaps while Cooper and Gallup are getting more.

Did my dump of 2021 NFL stats this week.
Lamb played on less snaps but was still the most targeted Dallas WR.
And even the difference in Lamb's snap% was miniscule (55.1) compared to Cooper (55.6) and Gallup (55.3).

Yeah, I don’t know where you are getting those numbers from, but they aren’t right.

If you look at games where all 3 were active and fully healthy for most of the game, which is a small sample, you get this:

Week 1: Lamb 73%, Cooper 89%, Gallup 60%- Gallup left early

Week 10: Cooper 66%, Gallup 53%, Lamb 42%

Cooper was inactive 11 and 12 and a part time player week 13.

Week 14: Cooper 88%, Gallup 82%, Lamb 67%

Week 15: Cooper 93%, Gallup 92%, Lamb 69%

Week 16: Lamb 74%, Cooper 71%, Gallup 66%

Week 17: Gallup got hurt

All 3 are talented WRs. But That is pretty damning that the snap counts are so low for far and away the best player of the 3.

Lamb is good, but there's prob something we're missing as to why his snaps were down when Gallup was healthy.

Run blocking, knowledge of the playbook, freelance route running, not being in the right place at the right time...a lot of things that aren't easy to spot on Sunday that could have big impact on playing time and targets for WRs

Mike McCarthy could be another hurdle he has to overcome as well, I don't consider him to be a highly intelligent HC, he still hasn't figured out how to manage the game clock 20yrs into this

Agreed with everything you said, except the last line...Lamb has in no way surpassed Cooper, and certainly is not far and away better. It's a stretch to say he's even equal to Cooper. He may be a better athlete, not a better player

this Dallas WR conversation has me chuckling a bit. When they drafted Lamb, everyone was hoping Gallup disappeared but most still realized that this was going to create headaches for target share between Coop/Lamb/Gallup.

Now that it actually has created those headaches, we're trying to figure it out, when the answer could just be as simple as Dallas has 3 good WRs, so none of them will separate themselves significantly when it comes to stats

I'm %100 with ya on Gallup.

But as Monkey pointed out, there are other factors at play too. But, I'd prefer Cooper/Lamb %100

Anyone can dig up my thoughts on Cooper vs Gallup, but I'll concede and say that this is the right combo imo as well.
Still think one of Gallup or Cooper will not be playing for Jerry next season, but we'll see
