Haha, my real question is does this effect Edelman at all? I was expecting a big year. Still am of course, but Gordon could take away a few redzone opportunities the other guys wouldn't have.

Harry was already an afterthought.

I don't think it'll effect Edelman much, if any. He'll still be the guy Brady targets more often than not. Gordon will be the deep threat that loosens everything up for the offense. If anything, Gordon being there might actually help Edelman since defenses can longer just focus on him

None IMO. Edelman is gonna get his, but I think Josh gets his and part of Gronk's. IF this dude can just not smoke weed, drink alcohol and keep his head on fer just one season, he'll be a top 15 WR..............all super big ifs but worth the 6th rounder IMO.

Might be that the excitement for Duke situation could be short lived.

perhaps, they still gotta find a dance partner willing to trade a strong RB, at a price they're willing to pay. Trading for Ronnie Jones or Billal Powell or someone of that ilk isnt gonna really affect much. If they trade Clowney, they could get anyone they want, or may e a #1 could land a big dawg, but are they willing to deal that much?? I dunno, I'd be at least a little surprised.

I still think their best bet is to sign Ajayi, or Hyde or Martin once they're let go. I would imagine worst case for Duke is a dead even committee

Lot of Seahawks fans ( not me ) are wanting the Seahawks to offer Penny and maybe a second for Clowney. I think that is short sighted, but if they are shopping for a RB might be the two teams work something out.

It’s not that I don’t want him. He can’t sign anything but the franchise tag until next season, the tag is 15 million. Then he’ll go to the highest bidder. IDK that his addition makes the Seahawks Super Bowl contender. I think it’s short sighted to mortgage some your future for short term gain that likely falls short of going to the SB. Think the right move is just stick to the draft and continue to develop the young players for now.

same for the 'Fins, and apparently MIA asked for Clowney and TWO 1st round picks to send Tunsil to houston, but texans were only offering a single 1st round pick.
i don't think they get a trade partner for Clowney before the season starts, and agree with @Barilko, it'd be foolish to send Clowney for RB help.

Eli McGuire could be an interesting compliment for Duke, but either way, this close to the regular season, wk1 is all Duke's

so let's roll that beautiful bean footage!

That'd be a lopsided deal for Seattle, even if Houston can't sign him

Well they can hold onto him I guess. Not sure he would show up until the date to get credit for the season. Maybe he puts out effort to keep his market high. Or maybe he behaves like a disgruntled player. Then he rides off for next to nothing. IDK sounds like a tough situation either way. Expensive rentals don’t bring a whole lot in the trade market. Only makes sense for those with cap room and a chance to go for the gold and counter productive if those team have to give up much for him and pay him franchise money
