According to ESPN Dallas' Todd Archer, the Cowboys' trade for Christian Michael is "more about insurance and depth."

For good reason, the Cowboys don't have much faith in underwear/cologne bandit Joseph Randle or oft-injured Darren McFadden. They want depth in the backfield, and Michael has a lot of talent even if deficiencies elsewhere in his game have limited C-Mike's playing time dating back to Texas A&M. Archer writes Michael is unlikely to become "the guy" at running back. "The Cowboys have planned to go with a committee, perhaps headed by Randle and split up with McFadden and (Lance) Dunbar," Archer wrote. "Now they can add Michael to the list."

"C-Mike"? Seriously? :pound::pound::pound:

Its awfully telling that Dallas would rather trade for Michael, and his contact, than to sign Ball to what would likely be a minimum wage deal. Ball might have really screwed himself by not being able to figure out cutback lanes

Kinda surprised you didn't pick up "C-Mike" in KOTF.

Per McDowellsworld: Ball's tryout at Taco Bell did not go well - he had trouble wrapping up a burrito. At McDonald's things were not much better as he may end up behind Akeem on the McDonalds depth chart.

What is everyone thinking about Funchess not being named a starter right now?

His play didn't seem overly disciplined in Michigan, he just out-sized a lot of DBs by being bigger than them, imo.
Worth holding onto or let him be someone else's headache?

PPR and half PPR leagues - I think he's still worth the stash
Standard - I'd probably look elsewhere to start the season

I'd absolutely stash him. If he's already got body control, the ability to out muscle DB's...he can be taught the finer points of a route tree. Whether he has the capacity to learn them is up for debate, but at least he's got some things that can't be taught to begin with. ..worth a shot if you've got a stash able roster spot

I think too much is being made of him. Benjamin may be a more talented receiver. Sometimes, you just can't plug in another guy and expect the same results. Add in that Rivera is a run-first coach, and Newton would rather run with it, or throw it to Olsen, and I just have my doubts about Funchess.

I'm with Treff, he's worth stashing until we see what's what.

And just think: if he turns out to be a multi-TD scoring machine, he can be known as "Bunches of Funchess".

Falcons looking at Montee. Just like that he's become injury fodder. Amazing how quickly things happen sometime.

The Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, and Green Bay Packers are the co-favorites to win Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara, Calif., according to updated betting odds available on offshore sportsbook Sportsbook.ag on Monday.

The Seahawks, Patriots, and Packers all come in at 15-2 odds. Both the Patriots and Packers have seen wild fluctuations in their offerings, with New England yo-yoing up and down amidst news of Tom Brady's suspension, while Green Bay took a moderate hit when wide receiver Jordy Nelson was lost for the year.

Seattle, meanwhile, was the lone favorite on Feb. 1 despite losing Super Bowl XLIX to the Patriots, but the Seahawks have since been caught by two teams, with the Indianapolis Colts - which brought in a bevy of offensive talent during the offseason - are just 50 cents behind.

Big movers include the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, each of which enjoyed fine offseasons, and the Minnesota Vikings. The return of Adrian Peterson alone was enough to cut the Vikings' odds in half, from 60-1 to 30-1.

The San Francisco 49ers took as big a hit this offseason as any team in league history, and that's reflected in their odds, which dropped from 35-1 to 80-1.

Fred Ex... always delivers! Pass pro elite. He will see the field.

IMO, this makes Lynch a better pick. Now you know his hand cuff and he's really good. Plus, Lynch gets a little more rest than usual, making him fresher.
