Well since I started Melvin Gordon and lost by 1 when he sat in London, now I don't have to worry about him screwing me in the playoffs.

Is Gordon still a top 5 back next year? Seems like a yearly injury risk now.
I dunno about labeling him an inury risk, at least not any more than anyone else..but here's the RB's I personally would take over him next year..

Gurley, Kamara, Zeke, Barkley, Hunt, maybe Bell depending on where he goes. Maybe even DJ, Cmac, Conner and I'd even throw in Mixon, Fournette and Chubb into the conversation.so he's somewhere between 6 and 12 for me at the moment

He's been a monster. Gordon is outscoring everyone per game except Gurley (.5ppr). He's number 2. Slightly ahead of Barkley and almost half a point better than Kamara. 2 whole points better than McCaffrey and everyone else.

For me its more about the Chargers offense as a whole. I have less and less faith in Rivers the longer he goes, and Gordon's value is very much tied to an astronomical TD rate that is overdue for regression

Where did you have him ranked this season?

For the guys we're talking about:
Brees is older
Eli is aging faster
Cam plays a more banged up style

I didn't expect disagreement on the top 5 part. But injury has me wondering. He missed 2 games his rookie year. 3 the next. Played them all last year, but is going to miss 3+ this year too.

He looks like a TD heavy guy in a really good offense. Nothing off about that. He's improved as he's hit his prime both rushing and receiving. Just that injury bug.

Maybe the move isn't to lower Gordon's value, but make sure to follow up with Ekeler.

I had him lumped in around 5-9 coming into this year..Bell, DJ, Gurley and Zeke..then a grouping of him Cmac, Barkley, Kamara and Hunt. So not a lot has changed there for me. A couple more names added to the grouping behind the big four, and Kamara replacing Bell in that big 4.

To address your counterpoints
Yes Brees is old, but highly probable Ingram isnt around, and no one, except Gurley, was touching Kamara's output without Ingram around early on.
Eli is also older, but he already sucks, and Barkley still shines. Wether they get a new QB or stick with Eli for one more, hard to imagine it being much worse than it is now.
And Cmac may very well benefit from a different QB than Cam. If he gets hurt, it means less rushing attempts from the QB means more for him. Someone willing to check down more often rather than tuck and run, would also boost Cmac. This is of course assuming the replacement is a competent replacement.

Regardless, whether he's number 5 or number 12 in my book, it's splittings hairs and gazing way too far ahead into a crustal ball at this point to really have much certainty to anything.

I would disagree.
I think Cmac benefits from a QB that keeps defenses guessing.
A pocket passer would allow defenses to focus on Cmac.

yep i agree
Perhaps..that would be the downside. But should DJ Moore and Samuel mature into bonafied threats..well, that'd change things a little.

There a plus and minus to it either way

dj moore i think is a bonafide threat now. getting use and producing. samuel i see like dede westbrook but to a lesser extent. hes got some hype, but hes not running many routes. and is td dependent. Hes not really catching many balls, or even being used extensiively in the passing game, yet. BUt DJ moore is good, and gonna be better.........IMHO

The Athletic's Jeff Zrebiec speculated Gus Edwards' ankle injury could prompt the Ravens to activate Kenneth Dixon (knee, injured reserve).

Dixon resumed practicing two weeks ago, opening a 21-day window for him to be activated off injured reserve. That did not seem likely at the time given Baltimore's glut at the position, but injuries to both Edwards and Alex Collins could prompt a move. Dixon is certainly a name to watch in deeper leagues

Gus Edwards (ankle) didn't practice on Wednesday.

Well this is an interesting development. Edwards appeared fine in last week's win over Oakland, so the Ravens may just be giving him a breather. However, if the injury is legit, it could put Baltimore in a very tough spot for Sunday's game in Atlanta. With Alex Collins (foot) also banged up, all the Ravens have behind Edwards is Ty Montgomery and Javorius Allen, neither of whom are equipped for workhorse usage. It's not time to panic yet, though this will obviously be a situation to monitor throughout the week.

While I don’t condone the violence I don’t think it was nearly as violent.

Hunt has now been released by the Chiefs.

Released? Wow.
