After the Packers won the Super Bowl in 2010 he was 5-2 in the playoffs. Since then he's 6-9 including some of the worst losses with superior teams ever in the playoffs. He's a good regular season coach and that's it.

I personally think Pierce coached his way into keeping his job. It's probably not a deep QB class in next year's draft but you do have defenders and RBs to choose from.

I'm just not sure what the Raiders should do at QB.

As a Dolphins fan I would rather hire a completely shitty coach to get us a higher draft pick than a guy that will go 10-7 or 9-8 every year (thanks Mike McDaniel and your hip sweat pants and witty banter with reporters) and either just miss the playoffs or lose in the first round which puts us just far enough down in the draft to not get a high impact player every year in the first round. I've played that game for the last 30 years and it sucks.

The Mike McCarthy conversation is an interesting one.
Given the Bears history and all the mistakes they've made, I don't think it's a bad thing that they're inviting a coach like McCarthy in for an interview.

The optimist in me would like to believe that maybe they'll hear constructive differences about how other organizations do things. Maybe it will provide some insight to humbly right all the wrongs that they've committed over the last few decades.

Not sure i like the Titans firing Ran Carthon after 2 seasons, unless he was the guy pounding the table for Levis.

To me, it looked like he was building the team from the inside out, getting the trenches improved via FA and draft. Cushenberry and Sweat both look to be great additions, Latham was a little reach but they had a massive hole at OT and chargers weren't moving off Alt.

Guess they didn't trust him with the 1.01

MM for the Bears wouldn't be a bad thing. He might not ever get them over a hump to be a SB team, but he could likely at least get them to that hump ..i think anyways.
Wouldn't be a bad choice to help Caleb along in development. Certainly better than what they had in a long time.

That and I want him out of Dallas, if for no other reason than to change the culture there. Might be for the worse, might be for the better, but status quo sucks

That part might be right - they WONT want you. In a town that loves QB controversy, despite taking a gazzillion sacks, he still broke several long-standing Bears passing records. Most fans see him as the real deal so long as he gets the right coach.
