MLS....come to STL!!!
didn't realize there were so many Penix fans on the boards here
I spent way more time on it than I will all three of my dynasty drafts combined.fun fact: I did absolutely zero research when filling out my top 16 picks for Wil's game. I didn't make any adjustments leading up to the draft either.
Went entirely off of gut calls

But I don’t have a pick before the 4th in any of em. So… not much of a comparison. As it won’t take that long to pick a favorite remaining linebacker or edge guy.
By 4am on draft eve I’d convinced myself Harbaugh was taking Latham. Ten hours of research previously, I was right with Alt. lol
The Eagles
I'd call em more like mad scientists, mad geniuses at kicking the can down the road. All they did was move it. Once the roster bonuses for those lineman and others, and AJ's guaranteed 30mill hit for '25, they'll be in a world of Hurt..pun intended.Eagles have some of the best accountants/salary cap manipulators in the league. They do a phenomenal job paying their guys and not having them blow up the cap

And honestly it comes down to the ability of ownership to cut massive checks as bonuses that cover big chunks of multiple years worth of salaries at once, and then prorate it against the cap. But you've gotta have that liquidity to do so. A lot of teams don't have that luxury.
That's where the Davis's are!Eagles come out smelling like perfume in 2025 too:
AJB will be #2 in total cash in 2025 yet still only 14th in cap hit for WRs, and that's BEFORE anyone else signs a big deal
DeVonta will be 20th in cash and 33rd in cap hit next year
Mailata with be #1 in total cash next year and Johnson will be 5th, but they're only going to be 25th and 27th in cap hits for OL in 2025
Imagine being a billionaire and buying an NFL team (or inheriting it from your daddy), but then not being liquid enough to pay the guys that allow your franchise to continue to increase in value year over year. Like, what's the point of "having billions" if you can't touch it or even use it to win football games?
Guess that is why the Giants are the Giants then. Lock is not a starting caliber QB in the NFL. Good luck to the Giants with the Jones-Lock combo at QB. On the bright side for the Giants they'll have a early draft pick next draft.Giants had Drew Lock above Penix and Nix when considering QB in the draft at pick 1.06, wow!
I do think there are a lot of similarities between Locks game and Penix's game but Lock has already proven himself to be a backup QB.Giants had Drew Lock above Penix and Nix when considering QB in the draft at pick 1.06, wow!
Well if Penix isn't good by the time he plays at 28 or 29...Atlanta sucks and needs to fire everyoneBradford was 10x the prospect Penix is and was the #1 overall pick after sitting out a season in college. Zero buzz about Penix going top 3 let alone #1.
And he played for Indiana before washington
I suspect he'll be playing at 26 if I was doing an over/under.Well if Penix isn't good by the time he plays at 28 or 29...Atlanta sucks and needs to fire everyone
Yeah, I think Nabers' value is the major factor here on top of Brian Daboll probably not thinking he has the job security to stink another year without any offensive weapons.I would say the more accurate way to put that might be, the Giants had the duo of Drew Lock and Nabers, ahead of Maye/McCarthy and the collection of slotreceivers they have. Can't exactly discount what selecting Nabers brings to the equation
But like Harold alluded to, I think the true play is looking towards a decent selection in 2025, everything else is just spin
I guess that will depend on what Cousins has done in his first two years. If they are legit contenders and he is playing well then it will be interesting. I think the biggest question is will he stay healthy. Not too crazy he can still be a top QB by 36 or 37I suspect he'll be playing at 26 if I was doing an over/under.
They've been saying that for 10 years.I'd call em more like mad scientists, mad geniuses at kicking the can down the road. All they did was move it. Once the roster bonuses for those lineman and others, and AJ's guaranteed 30mill hit for '25, they'll be in a world of Hurt..pun intended.
