D. Swift to Chicago at 3 years, 7+ mill per?? why? 2 really good games in the first 3, and then just a whole bunch of mediocrity, they could get that from Herbert or Foreman..probably R. Johnson too. Just because you have 60+ million to spend doesn't mean you have to toss it around so freely. geesh.

If Swift is worth 7+ a year, Barkley and Jacobs should be getting 15
Feels like unprecedented volatility in the value of FF RBs right now.

Both deals for Swift and Pollard 3 years for right around 24 mil.

Barkley, Jacobs and Henry sitting back licking their chops, although it may be a shorter term deal for Henry.

15.3 mil of it guaranteed.

If they've got so much to spend, why not a little more for either Barkley or Jacobs?

Now it's rumored that the Eagles are looking hard at Barkley. They certainly don't seem concerned about losing Swift.
nor should they be. Gainwell still locked up, who can do pretty much anything Swift can, and no shortage of options out there. hell re-sign Penny on cheap since you destroyed his value last year, still be better off than Swift. Still blows my mind how Penny was the one left in the dark

Pollard to the Titans

Lol, and I just got done reading about the Titans not interested in bringing back Henry.

Pollard/Spears timeshare?
Terrible spot for Pollard. He's no 'make your own hole' back by any stretch of the imagination, and Henry was routinely fighting two tacklers in the backfield on many of his touches. Not exactly thrilled about Spears behind that line when he was the last man standing, this makes it that much worse.

Pollard at 8 mill, Swift and just under 8 mil per- neither of them worth that, and yes, I would expect much better deals for actually difference makers. Like you said, I would also be a bit surprised if Henry got anything other than a one year deal, or at best a front loaded '3 year' that the team could easily walk away from that last year.

@TREFF, I'll be stunned if the Titans don't address that line. And I do like Wil's premise of Henry to the Cowboys, even for just next season.

I bet Jerrah may be drooling at the thought.

You fell victim to one of the classic blunders.

Damn it! I thought the Vikes were gonna get him.
Vikings already spent on Greenard. That would be a lot to invest in two guys. Greenard $19M/yr. WIlkins $27.5M/yr

I'm loving the fact that RB's are signing for more than they're worth (relatively speaking). What's hurting my head is that there are plenty of actual difference makers out there and the schmucks are the ones being signed already

well thats pretty effin sweet. Although the defense was already the better half of the team. Hopefully that means whomever they get at QB, the plan will be to run the ball and control the clock.

Under Pierce, that D will be nasty next year.

Gabe Davis in JAX..likely means no more Ridley. Kirk becomes defacto #1, I would assume? maybe an early round WR pick coming?

Ridley likely not returning given what his $$ will be

Titans scored a decent center in Cushenberry. Cush was possibly the best lineman in Denver last year. Not that that is saying a ton, but better than what they had. a tiny bit of good news for Spears/Pollard
