That may very well be the truth, but I certainly don't recall James Jones, Jordy Nelson, or Donald Driver having 8+ TD's inside the five every single year. And if they did, they haven't had RB's like Jones, or Dillon for that matter, since the good years from Ahman Green.
And even if they did, or maybe if the WR's and the TE's combined were constantly snaking those TD's so it's harder to look back and see it jump out at you from the stat lines...10-20 years, is virtually all Aaron Rodgers, padding his stats with calls at the line.
BTW..3 yard TD's to the TE?? That I get. To WR's?? Yeah every now and again sure..but not as often as Rodgers gets it to Adams, not with Jones and Dillon around. Just don't make sense

You can attempt to surgically break it down all you’d like, but it’s been the way they are. More likely to pass from inside the 5 than run.

LOL! Yeah… I think it may have been worse under McCarthy, but as you said, he didn’t have a stable of RBs then either… No Edgar Bennetts and such.

Just speculating, but my guess is because GB@BAL was a late afternoon game, they wanted Rodgers to tie/break Favre's TD pass record on a nationally televised stage. (Even tho most players/coaches say they don't pay attention to that stuff.)
