First-round DT Nick Fairley will miss a "significant portion" of Lions' training camp after undergoing surgery on his ailing foot on Wednesday.
The news Fairley received from Dr. Robert Anderson on Wednesday morning was obviously far from ideal. Fairley's shoulder was the issue heading into the draft, now there's no telling just how much time he might miss with his stress fracture. Corey Williams is now the odds on favorite to start opposite Ndamukong Suh along the Lions' defensive line in Week 1.
