Dude, I'm not talking to you. You bring nothing to political discussions.
I know exactly what the first amendment says and means.

Your second line is nonsensical gobbledygook. "Educate yourself on the topic and win in the arena of ideas?!?!?!! That's textual diarrhea. It means literally nothing. If I don't like certain ideas then I should educate myself on ideas I don't like. Mmmmmmmmkay.

The idiots on the right who spout hate don't need me to label them as hateful deplorables. They do it all by themselves. Hateful stupid people spouting off hateful stupid ideas freely isn't freedom, it's intolerance. Sorry. You're wrong again, as you always always always always are.

Kindly let the adults talk and slink on back to the kiddie table.
As usual you act like an idiot and are what you say others are .
if you KNEW what the first amendment was you wouldn’t say the stupid things you say

learning about the topic doesn’t mean you have to accept ideas you don’t like dummy but how can you speak about things when you have no idea what the other side is saying ?
just who determines hate ?

Ray Epps , look him up

Oh trust me I looked all into the Ray Epps wild conspiracy theory. See this is all you have Dad, wild conspiracy theories while I'm dealing in facts. I learned that Ray Epps never even entered the Capital building, so they had no reason to arrest him. I even saw a video of Epps playing peacemaker between the rioters and the officers.

So January 6th was just a bunch of people walking around taking selfies huh? This officer would like to have a word with you.

Other than the snotty "wow, where to begin" start to your post, I agree with a lot of what you said. Of course, you only addressed one of the questions I posed in the post you are responding to, but what you said here was civil and measured.

Peronsally, I think that hateful messages that promote division, hate, and fear should be pointed out, shouted down, and pummeled into non-existence. People on the right usually resort to the irrational " that's intolerance!" line of reasoning to support their brand of division, hate, or fear based policies. That's what I don't get. How the right insists that "a rising tide doesn't lift all boats," but instead resorts to "my boat needs to rise before anybody else's."
So what do people on the left usually do that promote divisivness?

Personally, I don’t think any of the marchers on jan6 should be prosecuted. They were told that our democracy as we know it was under attack. The we’re doing what their president told them to do. They didn’t know at the time it was a lie.

Wow, where to begin. I guess I will respond in general. Somewhere along the line in our political spectrum, party became more important than country. BOTH PARTIES. This is why you see protection for the likes of trump, Clinton, etc. to the point that those controlling the parties take these radical and divisive positions. just so they can maneuver their opponents into a box so they can beat them, before they get beat. These same leaders demand that all in their party tow the line or loose election funding in the next cycle.

I think those that stormed the capital were ramped up by trump to “march down there and take our election back”. This was all based on what we know now was a lie knowing perpetuated by trump. The GOP is finally pulling It’s head out of trumps ass and realizing that he isn’t good for the party. Trump is slowly loosing all support except for those that believe the only good dem is a dead dem. What I find ironic is how the libs handle this. They want to silence trump and his small groups of radical followers. This I don’t get. I want those that I disagree with to have a full and loud voice. Just so I know who they are and what they are saying. Silence them, and the just go underground. Then pop up and surprise you when you least expect it.

If you feel this way about 1/6 then why are you only debating with me? Why have you not said a word to Dad who claimed that picture above represents people walking around taking selfies and that Trump holds zero responsibility for that day?

You say I shouldn't ignore Trump. But the thing is I can't ignore his idiotic supporters when they say idiotic things. I enjoy doing this.

Ray Epps is on tape encouraging people to go to the capitol and he was derided as being FBI and I have posted the clips In this thread . There is tape in this thread showing Epps saying something to an unidentified person who immediately tears down a barrier .

I do kind of agree with what you said believe it or not. I also think this country was on the right path with trump as president. He just needed to keep his mouth shut, it also would’ve helped if he weren’t under bogus investigations ever since announcing he was running for pres

Honest question: Do you believe Donald Trump is blameless for what took place on January 6th?

By the way I don't recognize you, did you used to post here under a different name or are you fairly new? I was a regularly here until about 3 or 4 years ago

I don't feel like looking back through all the pages to find your clip. However I have seen the clip of him promoting people to go to the Capitol. The operative word of course is go to the Capitol not enter the Capitol.

I also followed the cases of those who are arrested very closely. In every case they said they were unapologic Yrump supporters, several literally said they were there because Trump told them he needed them. This was also introduced as evidence in the January 6 committee investigation.

So you may like to pretend that Trump was not responsible, I prefer to take the words of the people who actually were committing the acts. And they made it pretty clear that they were working under his marching orders.

We saw a similar situation take place in Brazil a few weeks ago. Brazil appeared to look like a country who was totally out of control. This is exactly how the world saw the United States of America on January 06, 2020

well when they release the other 14,000 hrs of video , i might buy it but somehow i doubt it will back up your talking points. evidently you have not been shown the other videos but they are posted here and if you fail to go back and look for them then you are willfully being ignorant which explains why you have outdated data .

his marching orders , also on tape in this thread clearly show him saying make your voices heard peacefully.

I had a couple different names. I can’t blame trump when he said do it peacefully. Of course no rally would’ve meant no dust up.

Honestly I blame BLM, Antifa, and the liberal media who called those riots peaceful protests.

That’s easy: they shove their social agendas down the throats of people and expect everybody to be ok with all of the changes.

LGBTQ, Climate change, Progressive education policy, etc.

Super divisive.

I have addressed the "peacefully" comment. Again it was at the end of the speech, appeared to be an afterthought, and was obviously not heard as that "protest" was hardly peaceful. Anyone who believes one sentence offsets an hour of speeches containing language such as "trial by combat" and "You have to fight or you won't have a country anymore" frankly is a fucking idiot. And again if he does not hold that rally this riot never happens. That should end the discussion.

If you think I'm going to rifle through 61 pages of posts to find the specific ones you are referencing, well you have just confirmed that description of you above. If you would like to point it out for me I'll be glad to have a look. But I'm not doing your work for you. If you have something worthy of discussion present it again.

I agree with this as well. As I said I'm not a hard core liberal nothing close. And the left has pushed these far left agendas, and more, and I agree they are divisive.

But that's not close to what the GOP has been doing. It's like we are living in bizzarro land where Trump can do nothing to stop a riot he created, praise the rioters, lie to the feds about being in possession of secret documents, pressure election officials to change the results and they have zero problem with any of this. The GOP has actually shown support for all of it.

And that disgusts me. And that is why I will continue to believe the GOP has lost all sense of Right vs Wrong. It's right there to see.

Good one, I feel the same as I have stated.

But you have made your opinion known. You obviously feel Trump holds responsibility for January 6. Interesting how @skinsdad62 has not challenged you on that opinion. Like you he only wants to attack the libs I guess.

Is @skinsdad62 or any of the other Trump guys ever going to address how he pressured election officials into changing the results? I have brought it up several times. Or are you going to continue to hide under the bed and pretend that never happened?

Show some balls dad and address this.
