If anyone hears any news on this please post it, I've been looking but haven't seen anything about it as far as time-line and extent of the injury .... I'm hearing 6 weeks minimum if it's just a small crack, or way more time if it was a clean break ...

the way his leg was bent im doubting its something small. still a broken bone is better than torn tissue.

If he broke the fibula, minimum 6 weeks
If he broke the tibia (what most internet doctors expect), minimum 6 months

ESPN reporting that Earl is out of the remainder of the season - including post season.

The good news is it doesn't require surgery. They said no reason he shouldn't be ready for next season.

Yeah I figured that, even if it was just 6 weeks it takes time for rehab and getting your strength back... I was just wondering the extent, damage wise... Thanks for the update though... Sucks not having Earl the rest of the year.... @#$^@#^

Yeah, this is such a bummer... This is why I don't get too excited when we have injuries and we're all anticipating at getting back to full health... Injuries will always happen... Our room for error is thin though imo in that secondary... If Kam or Sherm go down, we'll be screwed back there...

This is a huge loss this is bigger than not having Kam, Earl literally covers the field. I bet you money next week Aaron Rodgers is going to test the ball downfield. This offense will definitely need to pick it up I really do not see this secondary being effective without Earl back there

He's out for the season, including payoffs, confirmed. It probably will not be that big of a deal until the playoffs (possible exception vs GB). Not every team is going to be able to exploit not having Earl back there when we still have so many other great players on D, but it would be tougher to play the Lions, Patriots or Raiders without him. The coaches and players have the final 4 reg season games to figure out how to take up the slack. All is not lost.

We still have a lot of talent on that defense for sure, Let's just hope like heck Steven Terrell play's solid football and does his job... He can't be Earl, but he can still be a solid player...
