Yup. You gotta have a true advantage for having the best record. It might actually add a bit more incentive for teams to keep playing real ball after they clinch the division.

Nah, it is fine the way it is. I would say expand the Wild card game to a 3 game series. One game to teams that worked their ass off to get to the playoffs, I say make it so you have to win 2. No reason to change the ALDS, it's fine.

Yeah, I would've totally been fine with that format if the Cardinals made the playoffs. They lost all 3 home games I went to this year.

I like it the way it is. There are no guarantees in any sport come play-off time. You can tinker with the format or try to reward the better regular season team all you want but if they don't play well when it counts, it doesn't matter. It's always the team that gets on a roll this time of year.
