Great lists, about the only thing I disagree with is DB U. Texas and Miami should be 1a and 1b in that category. Other than that, this is an excellent thread.....

I wish they put more stock into NFL success.

You bring up a good point. It's one thing to get one of your players drafted. It's another thing to see them succeed. Plenty of examples on this list that would deserve more points or less for actually being a NFL honey hole for DBs/LBs/RBs/etc. Miami would be a number 1 in DB for sure as TexasExes98 has said already.

I'm surprised Notre Dame wasn't 1 or 2 or 3 in the TE dept. They seem to have had a TE drafted every 3 years or so.

Maybe they'll do a NFL success list on the College Football section of their fetid web presence someday.

Buckeyes LB & DB U?

not the last 3 years even with Shazier and Roby

02-10 were great years at LB DB WR and K for the Buckeyes

Disagree about OU's DB ranking.

Outside of Roy Williams I don't really know if I can NAME an OU DB that was worth anything. Not sure how they continually get overrated in that area, and virtually none of them get drafted.

Miami, Texas, and OSU are the real DBUs out there. CONSISTENTLY putting top draft picks in the league and getting solid play at the collegiate level.

I was surprised as well. The author does mention the fact that we're punished for not having our players selected as "all-conference" though, so we would likely have at the very least been ranked 8th.

Wow, Michigan State made a list. I am quite surprised by that. We have sucked for so long in the 2000's. But its not surprising that it was punters that helped us out, they got showcased enough.
