It's not about being liberal. He already had a second chance. If you have common sense you don't make the same mistake twice, especially when you are in massive debt and need a paycheck. What is he honestly hoping to accomplish by doing this? I'm guessing he's having himself a heavy drink right now wishing he could turn back time. It's not like ESPN is losing much anyway, he was a hell of a pitcher but his commentating skills consisted of making wise cracks about how pitchers are the smartest guy on the field and we should worship them. No one should be defending him.

Curt Schilling, a former All-Star and World Series champion pitcher who transitioned into one of ESPN's highest-profile baseball analysts, was fired from the network Wednesday, just two days after commenting on and promoting a controversial anti-transgender meme on his Facebook page.



The meme dealt with the controversial public restroom laws, which have been on ballots in states across the country throughout the past year and were most recently a topic in North Carolina. You can view the meme here.

Schilling was a wacko long before this meme. ESPN took him knowing full well what a nut job he is. Unless they had some sitdown with him a while back and had him agree not to express his opinion on such matters, firing seems a little extreme.

I keep reading his quote. The way it was written is in agreement with what liberal people feel about those who do not agree with transgender access to the bathroom of their choice. So, what ESPN is doing is getting into his mind to determine what he really means. However, others are not allowed to get into the mind of person claiming to be transgender as that would not be right.
When all the members of the local high football claim to be transgender and demand to use the girls locker room this issue will have reached its logical conclusion. No one could question their motives as it is such personal decision. Which way will the PC crowd fall when that happens.
