6 defensive starters were out. Then 2 got ejected. At one point, UCF was going against an LSU defense without 8 starters. You can choose not to believe this but that’s the truth.

An if UCF truly was a top team, they aren’t relying on 1 player. But alas, they weren’t.
UCF's AD has seen this thread and is now trying to schedule a game with WVU so that the Knights can lay down the law on the Mountaineers.

Yeah but ND gets mad favoritism from the media. UCF has been handcuffed solely for playing in the AAC.

People act like what CF is going thru is new and unique. It's a broken record that has been played with Boise and TCU. At least TCU made their way to the B12.

Nothing will change until you get to a big boy conference.

I guess you could try the BYU independent method.

LOL, get real, Here are the ranks of UCF's recruiting classes since 2012...96,79,68,71,65,55,62,57 and the they are currently trending for the #64 for the 2020 class.

They recruit at a fringe P5 level and they they play at a fringe P5 level. If anything the media gives them more credit than they are due solely for playing in the AAC.

Since 2012, they are 2-5 against ranked P5 opponents getting outscored 257-183.

You know what we call teams that go 1-3 against ranked SEC opponents....Mississippi State.

Mrs. State is 6-20 against ranked SEC opponents since 2012. While their 23% winning percentage is lower than UCF's 25% against ranked SEC teams, I think we should cut them some slack for playing 19 more ranked SEC opponents over that span.

UCF recruits and plays at a level that they can be P5 competitive when 1 or 2 recruits perform at a high level for a year or two, but not a level that will achieve, let alone sustain elite success. They, like Boise State before them, will continue to get more accolades than they deserve, because they are not challenged in conference.

Unlike Bama, UCF has to rely on actual coaching.

Some years they can beat Auburn when Bama can’t get it done.

You mean the year Alabama won the national championship after getting a bunch of people back from injuries?

Yup, that same year UCF went undefeated and wasn’t allowed to flex their muscles so we’ll never know. All we do know is they took care of business against a foe that Bama could not. That we do know.

My kids Freshman team went undefeated last season, but pretty sure the varsity would beat them.

Let’s give that LSU team some credit. They were down multiple guys and beat UCF who was without their star player by 8 in a game that felt like a wider margin than it was. But remember that LSU team was far from a push over. They won 10 games in the toughest division in football, finished 6th in the country, and won the Fiesta Bowl.

I am giving LSU more than some credit. They were down multiple guys and still won as you said by a wider margin. But when did they win the fiesta bowl?

Bama had a ton of injuries during the regular season. They got a bunch of guys back during the playoffs. I question how Alabama would have done at Auburn full strength. I don’t question how Alabama would have done vs UCF.
