I was wondering, with the Mavericks in need of a point guard and Eric Bledsoe possibly on the trading block, could the Mavericks swing a deal with the Suns and acquire Eric Bledsoe?

Bledsoe is not on the trade block. Knight & the older veterans are the only guys likely to be traded unless a Butler trade becomes reality.

Nope. No way.

Either the Mavs get Jrue or they draft a point guard.

So you think all the talk about Phoenix taking Fox is a smokescreen?

If the Suns trade Bledsoe how will they keep up their incredible amount of Kentucky Guards?

That talk isn't coming from Phoenix. Since the draft lottery, Jackson or Tatum has been most of the talk at #4.

Sacramento has been in on Fox.

Ok. Cool.

Thanks. Didn't know where it was coming from.

That does hurt Boston's ability to leverage Sacto into a trade. lol

Fox would technically qualify. But it sounds like they're not in on him.

I was reading that, I think that would make it 6 or 7

At this point, who really knows? But Fox hasn't been a focal point of Phoenix's reported interest.

I still would like to see the Mavs acquire Bledsoe. Maybe trading 2 future second rounders and a player; like Devin Harris.

Any team that acquires Bledsoe would more likely than not have to give up a first rounder. I don't think it would be smart for the Mavs to do that considering that Dirk is on the brink of retirement.

I like Knight and don't think he's worthy of the criticism he's received, but given that contract of his and the year he had, it would take a throw-in of Bledsoe (or maybe a 1st rounder) for Phoenix to move him.

Not even close to enough.

Bledsoe is a legit asset. Not getting him for second rounders and an over the hill vet. That trade package might work for a guy like Melo who has a bad contract. Not Bledsoe.

The great irony is that with the way MIL is constructed now, Knight would be a pretty solid fit.

But trading the pick the got in the Knight deal for MCW is just embarrassingly bad.
