Mostly, it's a matter of keeping from having 30 different threads for the same subject. August doesn't open the other threads and just starts a new thread for every FA signing, or bit of news. Just makes the board unnecessarily cluttered.

Just my opinion, but everyone should be able to start his own thread without it being moved, or reorganized. Even if there ends up being 25 different threads which are active, we should all be intelligent enough to keep up.

Maybe just personal preference then. If I come on and there are 30 new threads, I usually just don't bother. Especially when 3 or 4 are the same thing. I'd rather take a few minutes and move them.

That's because the more threads there are, the more space is taken up. It's really not an issue except at times like FA or things like that. There just really doesn't need to be 3-4 threads about the same thing. We had two separate threads for undrafted free agency. On game days, we have like 20 threads just talking about the game.

Find the root of the problem. It goes back to one person - the real complainer.

Tubbs has deleted a number of my posts in the last week alone. I call him a whiner and my posts get deleted. He calls me a whiner and it's okay. I call him out on his double standard, and he covers his tracks by deleting the entire conversation.

It's funny only August's threads get moved. Grad had a thread about drafting Teo. That remained. Your thread about Dumervil (remember, the one you threw a fit about), that remained. Tubbs thread regarding college FA was moved until I called him on it. In the meantime, he kept posting in it knowing that August created an almost identical thread a couple minutes earlier.

Double standard. But I get it, you're going to defend your brother.

We didn't have this problem until after he became a mod. I'm curious, did Tubbs being a moderator on a board make him look better for the websites he was applying to write for?

I don't know the details of any of that. Tubbs talks on other boards than this one under the SportsHoopla umbrella. I think he was asked by the guy who runs the board. For my part, if there have been inconsistencies in the moving of threads, it's unintended. It literally is just an effort to keep there from being a bunch of different threads about the same subject, which August is bad for since he admittedly doesn't even look to see if there already is one. The threads being moved, though, doesn't affect anything. They're still there. It's not as if they're being deleted. I don't see the issue. Now, as for deleted posts, I don't know anything about it, so I can't speak on that.

They're not the only ones who are annoyed. I am sure many people like myself just don't say anything about it because we would be further contributing to the pissing match this board has become.


I come here less and less because of all the stupid arguing and bitching, and whether you like to admit it or not, there is definitely a common denominator.

The Te'o thread was created between round so I didn't move it. I also didn't move the one Jekyll created. I moved both draft threads I created and merged them together. It's not only Augusts I move. I deleted our entire conversation because you were complaining about me not deleting it. Now you complain because I did delete it. You just want to complain. Also I was told to keep the board clean and merge threads because no offense to Vance or Cincygrad, but they weren't merging any threads.

August is the only complaints I've seen about moving other than once or twice by Flaming. I mentioned August specifically because he has said he doesn't look before he creates a new thread. So we wind up, for example, with an overall free agency thread where we're talking about Player A, then August starts a new thread about Player A as well. Just move it to the thread so it contributes to the ongoing conversation.

They're not the only ones who are annoyed. I am sure many people like myself just don't say anything about it because we would be further contributing to the pissing match this board has become.

As I said, moving the threads so that they're in a more sensible location, and contribute to ongoing conversations is the goal.

You cant just lay it off on Tubbs. August has jumped the argument level more than once with unneeded insults. He also created an entire thread to call him and his entire family fuck-ups. If you disagree with Tubbs, fine, he doesn't take it personally, though he will argue his point. If he gets too defensive, then so be it. But August is just as guilty of being too sensitive about criticism.
