Kids in school today are begging for the Pitt rivalry to be brought back because...well, I don't know why it would mean anything to them. My oldest son could careless about it because he is like so many Pitt fans/grads that don't give a shit about Pitt football. My youngest lived the PSU & Pitt games through me but he appears to be enjoying playing the current teams. I guess some have a hard time letting go.

I will always enjoy it when Pitt loses, when I see an empty stadium during a Pitt home game, and when people think that college football will implode without the WVU - Pitt rivalry. Wasn't it Pitt, Syracuse, and BE basketball that put the final nail in the BE coffin? It was so important to everybody that Pitt & WVU play that VATech stepped up to play WVU in all sports as scheduling permits. Yea, it was important to Pitt to renew the series.

I think it'll make them want to come more... That way they're here to embarrass us in person. TCU will certainly be top 10. I think they'll jump a bunch of spots. People will see 34-10 AT Okie Jr and we'll jump up some too. I wouldn't be surprised if we hit as high as 15. TCU will be the first team ranked behind the SEC west's lowest team. So you have FSU, 7 SEC teams and TCU at 9.

So true, the Pitt "vision" for football killed a potential power house conference when JoPa wanted to lock down the east for all those eastern teams and then chose to help kill the basketball conference we were in to go to another basketball conference. Just no future at all hitching the wagons to that sh*t show of a program and imho their football program MIGHT be in serious jeopardy in the not so distant future of existing at all with all the players getting paid and insurance ect.. that's coming soon, hoops only may be a reality for them as well as some others.

The series with VT is a fantastic move for both IMO. I had reservations about VT falling off of the map when Beamer calls it quits but with Babcock being there now and knowing his background of working at Cincy and their history of making good coaching hires (not all his but..) I think VT might actually make a good move when the time comes. Id LOVE to get that game for Thanksgiving week. All these big conference games then add VT late for the rival game similar to Florida/FSU or UGA/GT? Talk about a hot ticket for WVU fans and must see tv for CFB fans across the rest of the country, expanding our brand even more...
