So FAAB won the poll... Now i can use some MILKIAN moves...

Here is 2 rules i want to implement

1. For the original Draft- we do an auction to see the Draft order...
if you want the first overall pick, you just have to bid more than anyone else for it...
I will give everyone an extra 50 FAAB for this mini auction

2. Draft vetoing- Yes i know this is a touchy subject... so why not make it fun???
so here is the rule: you use up FAAB every time you veto a trade, you can use up to 20 FAAB to veto it.. and the minimum is 5... If a trade gets 40 dollars of veto to it then the trade is vetoed
IF you veto a trade and the trade does not get vetoed you lose the money you put into the veto
if you veto a trade and the trade DOES get vetoed you get your money back
If YOUR trade gets vetoed Both participants lose 5 FAAB dollars

For the draft vetoing rule

If you pay 20(maximum) for the veto and the trade gets vetoed you still lose 3 FAAB

I'm out if vetoes are involved. I'm not being prissy. Sorry, but that is my line.

A trade involves two owners. The rest of the league should not have a say.

Would love to be in a milkian league with weird rules... but vetoes cause nothing but conflict. If the majority is for vetoes, who am I to stand in your way? I will just get out of the way completely.

I have no idea what this FAAB really is.

Amounts and usuage are strange and scary thoughts to me.

I don't like trade vetos. But I'd rather not say they can't exist. Cuz last time we said something would never need to be discussed, it was all that was discussed for months.

I agree with these two men when it comes to vetoes

I really can't stress enough how things that shouldn't happen can and will still happen.

I think you're confusing tanking with vetoing. I don't recall micro or anyone causing havoc with any trading.

I think dismissing something as unnecessary is a really bad idea.

Tanking, collusion or what have you.

No vetos ever, isn't something I feel is unwise.

Well, if someone trades Mike Trout for Scott Schebler then we can all vote for eviction.

I always go back to my former basketball league. I traded Joakim Noah, Mike Bibby, Richard Jefferson and Tim Duncan for Kevin Durant in his rookie season.

It was vetoed....because they said I gave up too much! The Durant owner was getting too much! Lol So the trade goes through when I took Bibby out. Not sure if you know basketball, but that owner got the bad end because 10 people not involved said so.
Not in that league anymore... think I three-peated and bowed out.

Adding strategy to vetoing another owner's strategy is beyond milkian, imo. It is a recipe for disaster.

I'd rather have people get mad their trade was vetoed for whatever reason. Even if it's a sad personal one like somebody else wanting to deal for the player. Than not be able to stop a deal that messes up competitive balance.

I don't like vetos in general. Just don't want to close a door to a solution is all. (I agree on the strategy of vetoing being bad 100%)

Sure. Strict veto rules that will never effect me? I can live with that. Judging someone else's views on the value of player x, and having power with those disagreements gets too messy for me. (Like Shady's IDP football league)... still in it, but baseball is a difference animal.

If there is a veto rule to like, I think it would be: anyone who vetoes must make an offer simultaneously to the side they believe is getting a raw deal.

The Vito rule? I thought that was making someone an offer they couldn't refuse.

I'm all for the draft lunacy.

I like the draft auction rule, not a fan of vetoes unless it's outrageous
