Elton Brand agrees to one year deal with Hawks

Elton Brand has agreed to sign with the Atlanta Hawks on a one-year deal.

Brand played last season for the Dallas Mavericks.

The Philadelphia 76ers used their amnesty provision on Brand last offseason.

Sometimes you need a low post game and an effective jump shot to be a good power forward. Milsap is an upgrade over Josh Smith and it will translate to more victories. Yes , Smith was a great defender and blocked shots, but his overall game was not that great. Smith has a horrible jump shot and cant make free throws. His horrible shooting negated his defense.

Smith averaged 17 ppg last year. He does find ways to score. We'll see if Millsap will be better than him. I won't believe it unless I see it.
