Eli or Matt Ryan this week?

If I'm overthinking this one - I go with Eli. But I tell myself not to overthink things. So, stick with your stud. Matty Ice.

I think it depends on your situation. Are you the favorite or the underdog?

I can't see Ryan putting up huge numbers on the road against a Giants D that is playing well, but he should be good for 250 and a TD or 2.

If you are the underdog and need a big week, Eli has more upside but also much greater risk. That Falcons D is really bad.

Sigh...you make a good point here. I actually have them both in a league. I've got mostly favorable matchups, so I'm sticking with Matty over Eli there.

In MBBRL, I've been deciding on either Roddy or Alfie for flex. I really hate the matchup for Alfie. The only hope I see there is if the Redskins keep feeding him the ball, but if they fall behind early, that's done. I'm gonna go with Roddy and pray for a TD.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this fact yet... but Matt Ryan lost THREE starting O-linemen from last week to this one.

So hear are the facts:
- Atlanta defense is god-awful
- Atlanta is a very bad road team
- Atlanta O-line is decimated

Not a lot of good reason to play Matty Ice this week... normally, you might hope ATL gets down early and has to pass there way back into it. But ATL may just as well bench Ryan in that scenario so he doesn't get killed in a game that is already lost.
