Is Eli Manning a Hall of Fame QB? Not necessarily if he retired right now but projecting by the time he retires.

He deserves to be in the Patriots Hall of Fame but not the Pro Football.

His numbers are pretty shitty in the playoffs outside of a few games.

No, and that isn't me hating as a rival fan. Dude is trash 75% of the time and clutch 25% of the time. He has made the most of a couple of 8-9 game runs, and outside of that done nothing.

Definitely not a first ballot HOF anyways.

I wouldn't hate the decision either way.

Only 5 quarterbacks have won multiple Super Bowl MVPs. Of those, Joe Montana, Bart Starr, and Terry Bradshaw are already in the HoF. The fourth is Tom Brady, who is a lock first ballot Hall of Famer. The fifth is Eli Manning.

Only 12 quarterback's have won multiple Super Bowls as starters. All but one who is eligible for the HoF is in (the exception is Jim Plunkett).

Remember, it's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Great Stats or the Hall of Great Players. Eli has the exposure (played in the largest media market and multiple Super Bowls), he has the historical moments (stopped the Patriots undefeated season), has the "clutch" element (multiple Super Bowl MVPs), has the pedigree (high draft pick and famous last name, yes, these things make a difference). He's going to be in the Hall of Fame.

He was never even a top 5 qb at any time in the league so why should he get in

He'll make it off of the two SB's, but no he's not HOF material.

Ehhh.... Not Hall material imo.... However as people have mentioned he does have two wins in the Super Bowl over the Pats (thank Tyree for that one) and he has played in New York so more exposure and he is Peyton's brother.. Wouldn't shock me if he gets in

He'll get the Troy Aikman treatment and sneak in. Ultimately GOOD QB but compared to HOFers was mediocre.... but played for a major market and won a couple Super Bowls... one on the back of ridiculous defenses and a WTF Tyree catch, the other overrated QB on the back of an insane run game/O-Line and the LOL Bills.

When it is questionable you're ever in the 1st quartile of your peers- hell no.

Yeah, seriously. And when people are always saying that there's a bad Eli and a good Eli, you know that he's never performed with the sustained excellence that is the mark of a true Hall of Famer. He may get in, but it would be because of a couple Super Bowl runs, playing in New York, and the Manning name.

He'll probably make it for 2 clutch postseasons and being able to stay healthy/not miss games. His regular season per year stats aren't that impressive but being able to start for a decade straight at one of the most important positions in football counts for something.

To all of the bloggers, of whom, typed that Eli Manning won't make the Hall of Fame, visit Eli's Wikipedia page and see if you'll regret your mini diatribe. It's lurid to believe that Eli won't make the HOF. Within the last 2 or 3 seasons, Eli--in my opinion--has performed like a top-5 quarterback. Moreover, Eli is an elite quarterback. Which writer(s) will subvert the fans, by excluding Eli Manning from becoming a member of the HOF? Eli will be a HOF'er when he retires.
