If Cleveland actually did sign him.

Why? He wont have as much protection as he did in Toronto, but he will have brantley to get on base in front of him.

His value is HR. Without Rogers, Camden, Fenway and Yankee Stadium he will be a .240/22/80.... if he stays healthy.

AL Central is not a hitter's park division.

although that is true, do we know what percent of his HRs were "cheap" homeruns... I am pretty sure most of his Homeruns would be Homeruns in most stadiums...

Leaving Toronto is hard, but EE has been one of the most consistent players in baseball for the past few seasons...

I'm always leary of a PED suspension from EE. Dude sucked ass in Cincinnati, the ultimate hitter's park and then goes to Toronto and becomes one of the best power hitters in the game?

Those better than me can search baseball reference for that... but I am very confident most of his damage cane in the AL East. Last year alone, he had 9 HR that were not in the AL East (excluding two in Philly, two in Colorado and two in Arizona)

Checking quickly, he has 310 HR.

115 in Tor
16, 15, 14 in Bal, NYY and Bos
41 in Cin
12 and 10 in Phi and Ari

Everywhere else is single digits.

That doesn't really answer your question as to the distance of his HR, but it sure paints a picture.

not sure if it does paint any picture... he didn't break out until he went to Toronto(might be the team/stadium/al or whatever)

But in 2008, his only 20+ HR season with cincin, he had a 15-11 split of Home and away(seems pretty normal)

For his career he actually has more home runs as an away player than a home player with a 153-157 split.... you could say that is equal, but players tend to be better at home, so to see his away HR split to be better is surprising even if he has 141 more PA as an away player...

Is the ALC the toughest division for home runs?

Kaufman, Target and Comerica seem obvious pitchers parks. But The Jake is even stingier.

It is. And I don't think it's close.... well, it's close or equal to the NL East, but I'd be saying the same thing if he went to Washington.

If Chicago sells of Quintana, he'll get 8-9-10 games on the SouthSide against a lousy staff. But that's really his only perk with the divisional move.

I do like Clevelands lineup a lot. Assuming Brantley is back in business. Still isn't the Jays lineup he's been in the middle of, but it's a good one.

Sucks that he is one of my keepers... I really hope you are wrong and he produces but I can see why his numbers will slip
