Lots of good stuff in this win against the Ravens. I am particularly happy about "minitron" getting to 96 receptions.
Many would say this is only because of the lack of receivers for NE but I think he would have more receptions if he was not required to act as a #1.
This has been a painful year with the injuries and many of us have dashed hopes. I, for one am excited about the influx of rookies thrown into the heat of battle and many succeeding! We are 11-4 and we would not be except for the (inconsistent) play of the rookies. When we get our first team back next year, hungry and healthy, and a lot of really good back-ups, next year is certainly exciting.

I'm not ready to give up on this year. Let the entire team play with the heart of Edelman and surprise everybody! Has any team shown more heart this year than NE?
We are not done kicking ass!

Edelman is a free agent at end of year. I think tht he had an agreement with BB and lived up to his part. I expect him back next year......

Very happy with Ryan and Collins this year. The team should be cooking with gas next year...not giving up on this year though.

If they can retain Talib and Edelman, they'll be in great shape next year, that's for sure. Dobson, Boyce, Edelman, Amendola and Thompkins is a WR corps to get excited about. Ridley, Blount, Vereen and Bolden, same deal at RB. And the defense should be exceptional with Mayo and Wilfork back. They have some spots to fill, but they should be great.

However, they're in the playoffs. They're a long shot to win the SB, but anything can happen in 2-4 games played in bad weather. I'm not expecting anything, but I'm open to a pleasant surprise.

I hope they can re-sign Edelman and Blount. Blount is a nimble thumper. The play calling on this team sucks! I wish we'd run more. We're a better team when we do.

I say that every freaking week.. RUN THE FUCKING BALL!!!. We got really good backs and Olinemen who love to grind why not slam that ball all day.. it will open up the pass instead of the other way around which never seems to work this year for us. RUN THE BALL!!

I would say Edelman is NE MVP this yr. He has been awesome, period! I honestly think you see NE cut ties with Amendola and give that money to Edelman. We don't need both. Let Amendola walk, sign a vet WR, maybe Nicks, to a 1yr prove it deal, and run with that. Maybe with the play of Ryan, Talib is on the hot seat.

Brady's the MVP.

Agreed on Edelman being more worth the same money than Amendola, although I don't think he quite commands that. Talib needs to stay if the money is reasonable.

Talib needs to stay if the money is reasonable... and 'reasonable' for a CB of his caliber is very, very high.

He's not elite, but he does deserve a solid payday. I'd be willing to give it to him, assuming he's not trying to get Revis money.

LOL. The Pats wont cut DA. They wont take the cap hit. Plus, he has played well. You want to replace one injury prone player (DA) with another in Nicks. That's foolish.

I've been screaming for this for years. We don't run enough. We abandon the run too quickly. It's frustrating. If we have any chance in the playoffs......we have to be dedicated to the run.

Why do you assume adding Nicks would be to replace Amendola? Pats fans get all caught up on who is going to replace who. I think Amendola was suppose to replace Welker?? NE does not replace names, they replace production. It would not be a huge cap hit. His first 2 yrs of the contract has very little money in it. We don't need Edelman and Amendola, they are the same player, and I happen to think Edelman is the better player. He also returns punts and fuck, can play CB if needed, LOL. Nicks was just a name out there, there are going to be plenty WR to chose from. I also happen to Boyce is the same type player...no need for 3 short WR. Not to mention, Moe is going to be huge next yr!

They are both injury prone players. I'm going off your suggestion. We have hopes for Moe but really no clue what we'll get. Just like with Harrison. He's a huge body with a lot of upside. This receiving core has massive potential. Hopefully we pick-up a big time TE in the draft to pair with Gronk.

As for Edelman, I love the guy but this is his first healthy season. Hopefully this is the beginning of many.

Right there with you on all of it! Been saying the same things...Gotta admit though, forgot about Moe.

As I find dropped passes to be the single most frustrating thing to watch, I've really appreciated Edleman's sure handedness. He makes so many solid grabs.
