This one has always been a feel decision for me. End of game situations, the more time outs I have the better. Sometimes the right group, the right player in the group, can save the time out and make a play to stop the bleeding by finding the right matchup to get a bucket or going to the rim and getting fouled or a finish. Every group is different. That one tweet going around about Spo calling the quick 4th Q time out is what I’m thinking of. Jimmy was on the bench getting some rest for the end of the 4th. That’s time out time. If Jimmy is on the floor, I bet Spo lets Jimmy try and help them play out of it without a time out. If I’m Mazz, knowing Game 1 from the Philly series, I’m going the other way and not letting my guys play through it.

Mazz biggest “sin” last night wasn’t the lack of a time out in the 3rd. It was not playing through Tatum throughout his 4Q minutes.

Not for Jimmy/Bam as the issue in the season was never them. Both played the best basketball of their career but i do think Herro would be on the block

Are they going to pony up for Vincent? Strus and Yurtseven are FAs too, but I imagine cheaper to keep.

They are going to unfortunately need to choose between strus and gabe. Both been damn good this playoffs but still think they lean towards gabe because shooters are easier to find than a starting pg

As for yurt, he is disappointing because his defense sucks. Offense he can give you 10 & 12 in his sleep with 20 mpg

I would take Strus in CLE but unfortunately I think he could get a 3/51 or 3/60 deal especially if teams are bidding

Miami scored 46 points in the 3rd quarter and Mazulla didn’t call a single timeout.

Is this correct? If so, that's unbelievable lol

It is the playoffs, there is a tv time out about every 4 minutes.

Only thing I can come up with is cannot waste TOs in 2nd half as could need for a challenge or end of game.....or both.

I also was not watching that quarter....aren't there TOs due to network/commercials?

Sometimes you need a timeout to try to break the opponents momentum or to make an adjustment to stop a run. If we're just going to use tv timeouts, why give them timeouts at all?

I mean...I guess...but the Heat scored 46 points in the quarter. At some point you have to do something to stop the bleeding. Even Phil Jackson is calling a timeout in that situation and that fucker held on to timeouts like they were money.
