Famed aviator and filmmaker Howard Hughes started down a sharp physical and mental decline around 1958. After a severe flying accident that left him addicted to daily injections of codeine, Hughes became reclusive amid worsening symptoms of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder. He locked himself in a room where he screened movies continuously, only eating chocolate bars while delivering his urine and stool to aides who were instructed to never talk to him. At one point, Hughes became obsessed with the 1968 film 'Ice Station Zebra,' which he reportedly watched on a continuous loop 150 times.
Sadly, it appears the same fate has arrived for Baltimore Raven quarterback and fierce LGBTQ+ advocate Joe Flacco. After losing at home to league laughing-stock Andy Dalton and the Cincinnati Bengals, the Ravens were eliminated from playoff contention for a third straight year, despite entering the day with a 97.3% chance of making the playoffs.
Allegedly, Flacco left M&T Bank Stadium without speaking to anyone, and went to his apartment in downtown Baltimore, where he locked himself in the film studio in his basement. He has been replaying the same exact scene from James Mangold's 1997 'Cop Land.' Flacco has played the scene over 10,000 times, and is not returning any calls from friends or family. His boyfriend is extremely worried and asks for thoughts and prayers for the man affectionally known as 'Average Joe.'
