Hell we let KC walk and we have been through how many QBS ? I wonder what this team could have been if we weren’t plugging that same whole every yr ?

And of course every single one felt Davis should just mail in the DRPOV award and bought that foolishness.

And no one wants to let a guy develop

Who the hell on this team needs more development at QB, dad? There isn't an NFL QB currently on the team worth a shit. If it looks like a skunk, smells like a skunk, its likely a skunk. How we get the upgrade needed at QB I'm not sure, but until you have one of those top notch QB's on your team, you will never get over the hump regardless in this pass happy league. So, do what you need to do to "get" or "draft" one of those QB's, then build around him.

This team has been chasing the shiny franchise QB to the detriment of the rest of the roster for 30 years.

I can't speak for everyone so I will speak only for me. Scherff is highly paid for a guard. However when he plays he is a damned good one. I'd love to see him stay at a fair salary to him and to the team. Unless something truly surprising happens the WTF will not be laying out millions for a QB anytime soon. The defensive line as it played this year is not looking so expensive. Another plus for Scherff in my mind.

I also like Wes, he has done a good job.

I never thought Davis was a candidate for defensive rookie. Micah Parsons was always better than him. Parsons has been better than I expected and in large part that is his talent, a healthy Dallas Cowboy line and Quinn being the DC.

I am not for acquiring 2 LBers. keep Collins, Holcomb and Davis and find a little depth. If they don't like a QB and Dotson is available I would grab him. He can take the top off. Of course I am showing my Penn State bias.

I am hopeful Samuels will be healthy next year. Humphries, Brown and Carter can be the depth.

The team needs McKissick and Thomas back. I might look into signing Giesicki depending on price.

Agreed, doesn't mean he is on this roster.

What it does mean is maybe we should stop chasing the high and instead play the hand we are dealt and REALLY build a team. Stop chasing the next sure fire thing, or taking a QB because no one on the roster currently is sexy enough. We been chasing the next Peyton Manning for 30 years. The cant miss sure fire franchise QB that the entire world expects to e a hall of famer from the moment he puts on a helmet.

Me, I wanna see us develop the next Kurt Warner. The guy that no one knew about when he hit the roster. Maybe he didnt have the greatest metrics (height, accuracy, arm strength etc). But we got him, actually built a team around him, and werent looking to bench him the minute he threw a pick in a loss.

But hey, lets keep doing what we have been the past 30 years, because we have had such great success drafting cant miss 1st rnd QBs, and when we do miss we have bought in the cream of the crop in over priced retreads that other teams gave up on.

No, Dotson and McLaurin would be a game changer. JP was either on the radio or his podcast, and said WR should absolutely be the 1st pick. I do like the kid Williams from Alabama too.

Bunch of Trubisky smoke out there. Not sure how I feel about it, but his name sure keeps popping up.

I'm in total agreement with you however, that player is not currently on the roster. Let's go find that player and develop him.

After 30 years, I dont think anyone is capable of being remotely practical when it comes to the QB position.

Until someone comes out and says, we will find our QB, but we are not going to reach to fil the position.. Im not going to trust anyone they bring in, because we have seen this act far too many times.

IM old enough to remember when the star of the team was the O-line, the RB and the Defense in that order.. and the QB was jst glad to be with this team.

Now we are in a constant search for the guy who will be on the Wheaties box

Sign a free agent qb - likely trubisky or some other retread with some amount of potential - draft a qb number one, regardless of reach or not - and sign Kyle Allen to slightly above the vet minimum for a year.

Have all four qb’s compete - rookie, “trubisky” allen, TH and get rid of the weakest link or two.

All hands on deck approach.

We traded up for Campbell and Griffin.

Other top selections the past 30 years were Shuler, Ramsey and Haskins.

Crappy picks were Trent Green - 8th round pick 1993, started one year for the Redskins, 15 years in the league and Cousins - 4th round pick in 2012, started 3 years for the Redskins, 10 years in the league and still playing. These two after thoughts have thrown for a combined 60,000 yards and almost 400 TDs. Potentially 25-30 years of QBing.

We tried, the coaching staff and FO not so much. You have to know when to hold and know when to fold them.
