Guys I want to either see start or see a lot of:

C. McCoy: If he throws up another stinker like he did in Dallas, that tells me QB is in play for round 1 or 2. Probably is anyway. If he throws for 300+ in a in a win and maybe QB can wait until round 5.

Doctson and Crowder: They should be able to separate from the Eagles corners and maybe with Colt under center, Doctson is a different player.

Shaun Dion Hamilton: I start him in and try to find out if we can cross MLB off as a need.

Preston Smith: Play him and blitz him. Give him one last opportunity to go get the QB and see if he can do it. He's been much better agaisnt the run and has been more disciplined when it comes to containment.

Moreau: Can he have three weeks in a row of solid play on the outside. I have a feeling he's just not a slot guy and we have been using him wrong.

McCoy has already been ruled out.

The coaches should know what all those players can do now and one game should not a career make,

I liked Flanagan.

Skins Stats & Snaps: Redskins @ Titans (Offense)

FireBruceAllen- Just 11 different Redskins have made it to the Pro Bowl since Bruce Allen’s first full season running the team (2010), and Allen played no part in the acquisition of three of those players (Brian Orakpo, Lorenzo Alexander and London Fletcher). Only the Lions and Rams have had fewer players make the Pro Bowl in that span (10 each).

Washington ranks 23rd in number of player Pro Bowl seasons (25) with Allen at the helm. However, 44% of those seasons come from just two players (Trent Williams and Ryan Kerrigan). Orakpo, Alexander and Fletcher were responsible for just under a quarter of them.

Josh Johnson (Traditional Stats)- Josh Johnson started consecutive games for the first time since Weeks 6 and 7 of the 2009 season and completed 13 of his 23 passes for 153 yards, 9 first downs, a touchdown and 2 interceptions. He was sacked twice and lost a total of 22 yards on the plays.

This marked the first time in Johnson’s career that he passed for over 150 yards or threw a touchdown in three straight games.

He threw both of his interceptions in the final 90 seconds of the game, the second of which was returned for a pick-six. Colt McCoy was the only one of the four Redskins’ quarterbacks who did not throw an interception that was returned for a touchdown this season. Johnson has now thrown multiple interceptions in three of his seven career starts.

His 55.2 passer rating and 56.5% completion rate were the fourth and fifth-lowest figures posted by a Washington signal caller in either category this season. He ranks outside of the top-30 in the following passing effeciency metrics this season (min. 50 attempts): completion percentage (31st, tied with Alex Smith), passer rating (35th) and adjusted net yards per attempt (32nd). again an expression of failure of the ASS trade

At 281 points the Redskins are 29th in scoring while they have given up 335 points or 14th in the NFL.

Total yards passing = 2,953 yards; 16 TDs and 14 Ints. Smith was on pace for about 3,400 yards, 18 TDs and about 7 or 8 picks.

The run game is ranked 17th and the passing game 28th.

The switch in QB did not produce the results desired. The improvement in the defense and the addition of AP gave them a run game no one expected after Guice got hurt.

I find this upcoming week interesting. The Eagles late win last Sunday kept them in the playoff hunt. If they win and they should be the Redskins the Vikings HAVE to beat the Bears to make the playoffs. Cousin's has again thrown for 4,000+ yards, 29 TDs and 10 picks so far. He has been criticized for not winning the big game and here he goes again. You have to wonder what 4,000 yards and 29TDs would have done for the Redskins this year.

Here is another thought. With subpar QBing the Redskins were in it until the next to last week. I would be good with trying to make the D top notch next year and trying to run the ball and play great D. Anyone else up for that? Another DLman, Edge guy to compliment Kerrigan and some help in the DBackfield and this team could be very tough on defense. Anyone else in? With an ugrade at the other OLB position this team could put pressure with Kerrigan, Ironman, Payne, Allen and the other guy to be named during the draft.

add to it he knows the offense here in DC and he knows the wrs and TEs . something CDC did not .

people dismiss the 4 big games he won when the team went to the playoffs ( our last playoff mind you ) and he has won 2 straight elimination games .

our team has not and we stand to have the same exact record as last year . now it brings to question was it worth giving a borderline PB starting slot CB ( a weakness now , and a 3rd round draft pick ) , perhaps a starting LG , and now a potentially and damaged cap to go 7-9 ? the same as last season ?

we had injuries last season ( a ton by the way ) so that excuse doesnt fly

what should fly is you, shark , me and others brought up numerous times that he was 34 yrs old , the potential for injury was greater and that he was in decline ( as his play surely suggests ) and yet not one person who dissented from this view has come out and said "hey , you guys were right " ( notice i didnt use ABC )

now i cant bust people who arent here now (soon to come back ) but there are quite a few who still are here and perhaps an admission or 2 could persuade me to cut short my campaign of bashing the trade

we could have gone 7-9 with TB , CK , fitz , colt and the combo , JJ yet we chose to give up resources in a panic move for an old , declining qb , who , at best , will never be the same mediocre qb he was all along

yeah , he is a nice guy , a good leader , and he wont lose games for you too much . but he wont put the team on his back and carry it . the reason you wanted KC gone in the first place

now we stuck with the typical DC FO move . trade for someone elses guy why guys we picked , developed end up being shown the door . with the additions we had if we kept TM long and KC this team most likely is in the playoffs with guys we developed

now we have issues with the cap ( there issues because our qb costs 20 mil and wont play ) 2 unexpected positions of need show up (safety ) and we weakened OLB . OG , and CB and now we have to play a couple of cut rate qbs next season and draft a qb higher then we should while other needs go unfixed

its called spinning your wheels people ( and notice i didnt bring up we gave 40 mil to an injury prone wr )

i will make a thread after the season with my plan to move forward based on all this

Here is another point. Why the rush to sign a 34 year old QB to a long term contract? Yeah, sure he was cheaper than Cousin's but what was the need to sign him long term. That could be the 2nd kick in the ass if Smith can't play again or has to miss most of a year.
