Skins gave Lions a game.
Lions gave Eagles a game.
Eagles dominated Vikings.
Vikings dominated Packers.

I know it doesn't work like that but the Packers, Titans, and Colts games I had as losses, now look very winnable.

How do you propose this with the same coaches, players and scheme? Nothing will change and we get our arse kicked this week by the sheagles.

dude its week 2. We are not he worst defense in the NFL. Curl is back this week which is huge. When Young comes back it will change things. We can win with Wentz, I know its early but it seems like this offense clicks for him.

I do think we have a chance to get blown out. I called out Jamin on this board and now I'm calling out Fuller and Jackson. This is their week to step up and earn their paycheck.

I load the box, bring Curl down and make Hurts beat us through the air. Gap integrity will be key, but we can't just rush four and sit back in zone. They will run all over us and march down the field with play action and short stuff.

I'm gonna lay off Jamin. It is what it is, but Jackson and Fuller are getting PAID right now. This is the week we will need them to play a lot better.

Yea they are gonna have to get away from that zone scheme he is running and get after Hurts or he is gonna kill the defense

Offense looks good and cannot wait until BRob gets back. Olline scares me with last weeks performance. Our D is terrible period. Will finish in bottom 5 in league which is on the coaching.

Not going to blow any smoke up anyone's ass because Kirk wasn't good last night but early he got no help and late they blitzed the shit out of the Vikes and he got no time. All that said he put some balls up that he shouldn't have.

I came away from that game impressed with Philly. Hurts looked good. Sanders always gets close to a 5 yard per run average. Slay was a BEAST. Right now I am thinking Washington is going to get killed against the Eagles.

It was just week 2 so who knows in a few weeks after teams start adjusting. Minnesota's defense looked as bad as Washington's.
Yeah, I don't know who the Vikes WR was, but he dropped a great deep ball by Cuz on a well designed play that would've been 6 and perhpas gave Minny some life. Or maybe instaed of 24-7 its ends 24-14. Right now though, Phillyu looks every bit as good as their #3 or 4 power ranking they have in the polls I've seen. Its so damn frustrating watching this defense, has been for since last season. That Swift TD in the nutshell kinda summed what the Skins are about. You can't tell me that's the way that defense was drawn up leaving 2 players wide open. What made it so frustrating was the blitz did its job. Had Goff throw up a beach ball avoiding the sack that had pick 6 written all over it, not catch it, fall down, get up and score a TD w/o being touched on a 3rd n 15.

I agree with @kbso83432 moving Fuller to safety won't do a whole lot. I do like the turn Jamin loose to pass rush. According to profottballreference on 9 blitzes he has 1 sack/1 QB knockdown after the throw and 2 QB pressures. That's not bad on 9 plays. have Curl (preferably) Forrest or McClain come down in the box to cover that dump-off/ hpt read and see what happens. At the very leasst Jamin wouldn't have to think about shit, just go like his hair is on fire Supposedly he runs under 4.5. At 6'4" 230+ pound that could make for an imposing cat kinda dude.

You had 2 players who didn’t know how to play the defense they were in

Only three teams have given up more points than the Skins. All 3 of those teams have played at least 1 legit legitimate offensive juggernaut.

Tenn has already played Buffalo losing that game 41-7
Arizona has already played Kansas City losing that game 44-21
Detroit has already played Philly losing 38-35 and the Skins who's offense minus the first half against Det has been nice under Wince the first 2 weeks) who put up 27 points

Det smoked the Skins for 36 points and Jax scored 22 points and 2 of their FGs should've been TDs. The Skins defense has already given up at least 10 plays of 20 yards or more and 4 plays of 49 yards or more. They may or may not be the worst defense in the NFL, but it isn't for lack of trying.

From what I can see Jamin is a 43 OLB who needs to be in on pass rush situations. Not a MIKE like last year and not playing in the middle of a 52 Front. He needs to be on the edge and going after the QB or looping in to get the QB.

He looks a little one dimensional to my naked eye. Granted I have never coached, but that's just what it appears to me.

If his one dimension is to track down QBs I'll take it.

Or here's a thought. GET A REAL FUCKIN LB! You've seen em before Ron. You had 2, one of whom is a first ballot Hall of Famer in Luke Kuechly and Thomas Davis. Stop with all this budget n basic bullshit. I know you can't just go out in the backyard and pull one off the linebacker tree, but damn it to all fuckin hell!. Pull your head n Del Rio's head out of your ass n legitimately address the issue!

If he can be a 43 pass rushing OLB. He oughta be able to be a 34 pass rushing OLB or a 52 stand up pass rushing DE. Though ALL the scouting reports indicated his strengths were in pass coverage. That said. I'm looking right at RR n JDR as being more problem than solution thus far,

Exactly but until then I like the idea of Curl calling the defense like a linebacker using Davis as a pass rusher and taking the pressure off Holcomb its just too big of a job for him

Neither LBer seems to understand leverage for that matter the DBs struggle with although their problem is usually blown assignments and lack of pass rush but the 763 number 1 picks up front.

If Wes Schweitzer can't go, I hope they seriously consider moving Cosmi inside temporarily and giving Lucas some run at RT. Trai Turner looks washed.
