This is why you drafted 3 Oline in the first round. Go for it.
Didn't shock me. I knew Philly's defense was this good. They have a fantastic front 7 and a playmaker in Malcom Jenkins. I almost feel bad for Jenkins because he plays with a very poor secondary and LBs not named Hicks. I saw what this defense did to Pittsburgh and Minnesota. I knew they were legit. They do sometimes get gashed but they are a tough group to figure out. Dak had by far his worst game as a Cowboy but it was also his best game to me. He missed high, missed low, threw a bad interception, nearly threw another. He did a lot to lose this game for the Cowboys but he fought through the adversity and delivered when it mattered most. This game showed me something about both of these teams:Philly is better than I thought.
Well coached game by the Cowboys, thought going on 4th and one was the right call, the fake punt saved the game, even the failed WR pass was there. Dak was forcing it to Dez a little to much, and the Eagles pressure was giving him some trouble, but he showed some real sand bringing the team back
It's wins like this that really show where this team is at. Let's be real here, this team played like complete shit. Got down by double digits. Were down double digits in the 4th quarter, kept missing opportunities. Yet still found a way to win this game. Mad kudos to Garrett. He showed huge balls on the fake punt, which gave us a much needed FG. And going for that 4th down showed balls as well. Not Linnehan's best day, but a damn great day from Garrett.
I don't see how the first half mistakes can be on the coaching. Dak made a bad read on the pick in the end zone. Philly brought a lot of pressure, which forced Dak into a few bad throws. Dez stopped on a few routes. I thought the coaches made nice adjustments last night. Philly was 4-2 coming in and had just beaten the undefeated Vikings. Great win for the teamAdmittedly, I tuned out for the 4th QTR, too tired to watch crummy football, so I can't speak on that - I'll have to watch it later today. The first 3 quarters were very poorly coached, however. Ecstatic to wake up to a win, but what I saw last night was pretty ugly football. A couple good calls, such as the fake punt, doesn't eliminate the numerous mishaps in the first half. Dallas could have had Philly on the ropes in the 1st half if not for so many careless and costly mistakes.
Still, extremely happy for the win, great to see the 'Boys grind one out like that. Although that win did come at a cost as we are likely to be without Barry Church and Mo Claiborne for a little while - these guys are both having excellent seasons so far and will be missed.
Come on don't blame Dez. Dak made bad throws. Dez did not quit on routes. Can you give him credit for once???? He was open for many times and the ball poorly thrown by Dak.I don't see how the first half mistakes can be on the coaching. Dak made a bad read on the pick in the end zone. Hope Church and Mo get back soon, it seems we can't ever have our while team on the field lol
Made some absolutely huge plays last night. HUGE PLAYS. Heart beat of the defense.Lee is a stud!
LOL...I was saying the same thing. The announcers were praising him and I'm like what he heck is he doing? He almost made a good play into a circus.Wilcox had an easy interception there with better ball skills.
I always enjoy well played games.
Totally agree. I would have kicked it, but was fine with the call. I always say Garrett plays not to lose and that it kills this team, but he seems to have gone from the biggest chicken shit guy around to a "I'm going to step on your throat and ram the ball up your butt" bad ass this year...and I like itwell I would have kicked the FG, but I always complain that Garrett plays not to lose. So I cant complain he went for it. That was going for the win move.
That was a real head scratcher to me. I'm not going to lie. I was happy to run out the clock there...After stopping the Cowboys on the last drive in regulation, they allowed the Cowboys to run the clock all the way out to go to OT instead of calling timeouts to force a Cowboys punt. Why I bring this up? Because the Eagles have been fantastic on Special Teams all night long and all season. Why would you not give your Special Teams a chance to steal the game in the end with a possible blocked punt or long return? The Eagles looked like a team that did not want to win.
I don't know about that. Did they say something this morning? Watch Heath. Looks to be a lead blocker the whole wayWhen I first saw it I said that Chris Jones really sold that so well.
But now I'm not sold at all that it was a fake punt ...that punt was going to be blocked!
