All 3 picks were need picks instead of BPA. Will likely happen again this season. It rarely works.
What chaps me about Lance isn't that I'm a fan of his, it's that we gave up a valuable 4th round pick for him and won't at least give him a chance in a season that's been over for a month. We wasted another 4th on Mingo. We gave Dak $60M per. Jones is running the team into the ground

yeah I dont see a problem with trying to showcase him after the season was over.
But things to consider.
1. Maybe he is just that bad. So they werent gonna put him on the field. (Niners thought this)
2. What we do know. McCarthy is trying to keep his job, which takes winning. So he played he he thought was best for that.
3. For a little good news. We now know for a fact that Rush is a decent backup QB, so we really dont have to go looking for his replacement. Because honestly. Every year I was wanting to replace him LOL So next year. I will be thinking we are fine at #2 QB, which probably means Rush wont be here next year

Rush is going to be an interesting deal. Despite his limitations, he is 9-5 as a starter. I can't see anyone giving him a chance to start, but there are teams like Tennessee and NYG where that record looks good compared to what they have. And I think other teams might be willing to pay him better than Dallas will as a backup. I think one reason Dallas has kept the bubble wrap on Lance could be they don't want him to show anything so they can bring him back on the cheap

Well, yeah. But we had, and could have offered more. Hindsight 20/20 but dude got 2k yards this year. What is that production worth? I also would have accepted Derrick Henry. He is a fucking beast.

Paired with Lamb and we would have the twins cause can't add the third to make it triplets with dak at the helm.

There were only two must sign free agents on my list entering last off-season. Derrick Henry and Barkley were the two I was wanting. I wanted one of them. I was pisst off when I heard they signed elsewhere.

I would like them to trade up for Jeanty if not too expensive. I see Jeanty as the next great RB to enter the NFL. If they don't draft Jeanty they need to draft a RB in round two or three. I expect Jeanty to come in and be a problem for defenses. The instincts and vision are special with this guy. He is fast enough to be dangerous as well. They need a change in philosophy on offense. The OL clearly blocks better in the run game than they do in pass protection.

Would not hurt my feelings if they drafted one of the top two tight ends in round one and then took the best RB available in round two. Ferguson IMO took a step back and may not be the guy I thought he was going to be. He did not get it done this year. The two tight ends are going to be studs IMO. I have a first round grade on these two tight ends.

They are going to be studs. They aren't Schhony, more like LaPorta. I just hope they take the best player on their board. That's how we end up with Micah, Lamb and Tyler Smith instead of the Taco's of the world

I don't trust them a little bit drafting TE in the first or second round. They suck at it.

It depends on the player to me. If they had taken LaPorta or Kincaid, I would have been happy, thought both kids were great. They were projected 1st-2nd. Schoony was projected 3rd to 5th and we took him in the second. It's not the kids fault we reached

That is the problem, they try to outsmart everyone and not take obvious ones.
