Man you know what pisses me off? He just might if given a chance. The 5 INT game, he had 413 total yards and 2 TD's. He hit 16 different receivers, none of them were starters, and 13 of them didn't make the 53 man roster all year. Maybe a few picks were on them, we have heard that excuse for Dak. You don't do that without having talent. We all sat through Troy Aikmans first season. 0-11 record, 53% completions, 9 TD's and 18 Picks. 3 Super Bowls and HOF. I'm not saying this kid will ever develop into that but we Damn sure will never know in Dallas. I'm rooting for the kid, I hope he goes somewhere and gets a chance and becomes a good player to give the nation another chance to point out what kind of dipshit GM we have. If I were him, I would take the Turpin route, play in the Spring league and show what he can do

What I watched when he was on the field (both the preseason games and the practice clips) was not an NFL QB. If you can't read a defense, have no touch on the ball and just throw everything on a line are also inaccurate you just can't play at this level. If he wants to sign to the practice squad I'm all for it.

There's no way in the world to know what that kid could do. They used him like they used Deuce last season, bullshit scenarios when everyone knew what was coming.

That's not true at all. I always thought Darnold was an NFL caliber QB and I think most others did as well. He is playing even better than that now but him being good enough to be on an NFL roster was never in question. I watched him throw for over 300 yards against the Cowboys his first or second year to beat them in a game when he wasn't even supposed to play because of injury and had really no WRS to throw to. Lance just stinks.

Point is, Darnold went from being bounced to his 4th team to MVP level play. Baker Mayfield went from bounced around to MVP level play. I NEVER said this kid could to that. But could he be Justin Fields, a good backup to fringe starter? I don't know but stinks is pretty strong considering he got zero chance here and lost his last gig after getting hurt

Managment and coaches putting a player in situations to succeed is why Darnold and Mayfield are thriving. Unlike not investing in a running game to help your QB out like Jerry did and starting two rookies on your O-line.

Well, yeah. But we had, and could have offered more. Hindsight 20/20 but dude got 2k yards this year. What is that production worth? I also would have accepted Derrick Henry. He is a fucking beast.

Paired with Lamb and we would have the twins cause can't add the third to make it triplets with dak at the helm.

Haha. Brother he might be a scrub, I don't know, but I'm all for giving the kid a FAIR chance. A lot of people hold out hope that Mazi, Schoony and Guyton won't be busts for their draft status and that's with several full games under all their belts

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones on @1053thefan didn't have a definitive answer when asked if he wanted to see Trey Lance play Sunday. "Overall, I'm real pleased with how (Cooper) Rush has played. ... We'll be doing some things (Sunday) that are in the best interest for our team going forward."


If this means playing Lance this week, Jerry may be planning on resigning him. As dumb as Jerry is and as unwilling as he is to admit a mistake even if it means doubling down on it, if Lance plays well Jerry will probably give him $70M per year and tell everyone have great a move it was to trade only a 4th for him.

All 3 picks were need picks instead of BPA. Will likely happen again this season. It rarely works.
What chaps me about Lance isn't that I'm a fan of his, it's that we gave up a valuable 4th round pick for him and won't at least give him a chance in a season that's been over for a month. We wasted another 4th on Mingo. We gave Dak $60M per. Jones is running the team into the ground
