I hope that next year, we draft a stud G/C. There were several in this draft, but I can't fault Howie for getting a good RB, and a potential star WR, in the second round.

Good move. Brooks is likely to start the year on the PUP, may miss half the year. Wiz is a suitable short-term starter with tons of experience who knows the system.

I am a little surprised because they cut him but I guess that was all about cutting salary. They got him back like Jernigan for less money.

They also brought in a ton of interior OL UDFAs so they seem to want to create competition there. I am interested in seeing how some of the UDFAs do including Nate Herbig from Stanford, who has a great nickname, "Big Island".

It's shrewd moves like Wiz and Jernigan that keep good teams competitive. Fortunately for us no one in FA bit on either of these guys and we get them back at reduced rates. I'm thinking Howie is trying to scrape together every last dollar because the Wentz extension may be coming sooner than we think.
