Oh, I hear you. Seattle fans are generally not calling this a dynasty, they are saying they are "in the middle of one" What the hell is wrong with that? It may not get there but they have a lot better chance of getting there shortly than _______!!!!!!
I think win another one next year and they can call it in the middle of one. Thats gonna be hard to go back to back to back tho!

I'm flattered that a poll was made just for my sake. I'm a little late to the discussion though.

Are the Seahawks a dynasty? Of course not.

In the last three years the Seahawks have won at least 11 games a season, going 36-13, and then 6-2 in the playoffs. They made 2 superbowls, winning one in a very lopsided affair, and arguably should have won the second superbowl.

IF the Seahawks go to the superbowl two more times in the next three years and win one, then I would consider that a dynasty. That is why I believe they are in the midst of a dynasty.

I think your poll is misleading because of course there is no way to know if the Seahawks are a dynasty yet. It boils down to: is 4 four superbowl appearances, 2 superbowl wins, 6 consecutive 11+ win seasons, and 6 straight playoff appearances considered a dynasty?

If yes, then do you think the Seahawks can do that? If yes, then they are in the midst of a dynasty.

Option 3. They're a good team but they're not a dynasty just yet.

I think this answer to this poll is pretty much validated. Not a dynasty yet.

Yes not a dynasty yet, but are they in the midst of one was the question. They very well could be...or not. I like their chances, but I'm a Seahawks fan, so obviously bias.

I think they are. Especially if they win another SB this year. But you and I both know it's time to hand the baton to the Cards...... Please

It's a sad story for the Cards, they're good, plain bad luck to have a team like the Seahawks blocking them.:suds:

Doesn't that go for pretty much every team in the league? Starting QB goes down you are done? Thanks for sharing your infinite wisdom with us rock.

I think there are only 3 teams in the big 4 right now that can lay claim to the "dynasty" tag, and the Seahawks are not one of them. And none of the 3 are clear-cut, no question dynasties.

first, no...no, they didnt. carson palmer was 6-0 under center. the cards went 11-5, so they were 5-5 under stanton (5-3) and lindley (0-2). cassel actually WENT 11-5. brady got hurt in the first quarter of week 1.
second...what you just said completely contradicts your prior statement.

True. on all accounts with the exception of it contradicting my prior statement. If the starting QB goes down, you're pretty much dead. Now there are exceptions to the rule, but not many. I will go on record as saying right now if any of the top 15 teams in the league lose their starting QB for the year they will not win the SB.

Do you agree?

I think everyone is entitled to their opinion of what a dynasty is. Depending on that opinion, I don't have any problem with a Sea fan saying they are in the midst of a dynasty. They have one SB win, just went to another and by saying that, they are likely predicting a couple more (may or may not happen). If you want to define a dynasty so that only 5 or 6 teams in history qualify, then that isn't likely to happen with them. If you want to look at it more as a team of the decade type thing, then with their recent success and youth that is certainly possible

id say thats fair.

i have seen it enough times to say its not always a death sentence.

colts won a SB with earl morrel
cassel went 11-5 (no playoffs on a tiebreaker thanks to the wildcat surprise)
98 broncos won a SB after bubby brister went 4-0 when elway was hurt
steve young stepped in for montana and went 3-0 in 89...they won a SB

those are off the top of my head, i am sure there are more...but yes, typically its a death sentence.

How could you for get about Kurt Warner, twice? You should be ashamed of yourself.
