take back your shame!Fair enough.
id say thats fair.
i have seen it enough times to say its not always a death sentence.
colts won a SB with earl morrel
cassel went 11-5 (no playoffs on a tiebreaker thanks to the wildcat surprise)
98 broncos won a SB after bubby brister went 4-0 when elway was hurt
steve young stepped in for montana and went 3-0 in 89...they won a SB
those are off the top of my head, i am sure there are more...but yes, typically its a death sentence.
i said top of my head. What no love for Morral with the Dolphins in '72
Or, Frank Reich for the Bills in the '92 playoffs
Or Jeff Hostetler for the Giants in the '90
i said top of my head.
good call, on hostetler, i forgot about gaypornostache. Reich didnt play every playoff game, kelly came back for the AFCCG but gave way to reich again in the SB, and he was blown out badly and had a terrible game.
So the question we all want the answer to:Heard this the other day on the radio. Assuming it's right. Super Bowl winning QBs that weren't the starter at the beginning of the year:
Staubach
Bradshaw
Plunkett
Hostetler
Brady
Dilfer
D. Williams
Warner (technically) was the starter, but took over in preseason)
