I'm not sure bullying is the correct term myself, that would imply we made you do something you didn't want to do via bodily harm - - think the more appropriate word is persuasive.

As for opt-outs and the like, we could add a couple of more roster spots since I'm not sure those will qualify for IR. ... not sure how to handle filling them though. ....

Yeah, I think an opt out is the same as holding out, sitting out, suspended...not an IR thing.

D2 is tossing out temporary ideas to deal with the 'Rona BS this year. We've got an even more stringent setup. Does anyone have any requests/opinions/ideas/thoughts that we should consider to be prepped for this season?? More IR? expanded rosters? Nullify and empty space penalties...anything??
Let's hear it now, or we'll just stay status quo and whoever gets short changed by the 'Rona just has to deal with it.

I think the much easier solution would be to just expand the rosters to 25 for this year. It would require a whole lot less policing and give everybody a shot at expanding now. I would say we throw everybody back on waivers so we all have an equal shot to put in a waiver claim if it's somebody they really want and then just have the free agent period after that. I'm pretty sure in both of the other dynasty leagues we are just going to keep the expanded rosters and not have to drop back down since they are already expanded.

I think that putting everyone on waivers for a claim period is a must do if we have any sort of expansion

Well i agree tha less policing is certainly best all around it sometimes becomes inevitable

i would imagine it all depends on how much roster expansion that we would do

however i think that roster expansion just hightens the strength of the owners draft skills and wouldnt solve the randomness of the covid potential hit

ie: if one owner really gets smacked around by covid many of his covid replacement options would all ready be rostered on all of our various expanded rosters....

or am i missing something in the various suggestions

Well, if an owner really gets smacked with COVID it isn't going to matter what we do, they are going to be screwed. The reason I think we are better off expanding the rosters now is that everybody has an equal shot at adding 5 more guys. If we wait until the season starts and you have a starter that goes on the COVID list, you will have to put in a waiver claim for him and unless you are #1 on the list you are going to miss out on him anyway. I just think you have a better shot at having someone you can plus into your lineup by expanding the rosters now than by being at the mercy of the waiver wire later on.
