Productive? Not this year.

Gresham: 120 Receptions, 1198 yds and 11 TDs (mostly in a bratkowski offense)

Hernandez: 130, 1502 yds and 14 TDs

Graham: 147, 1838 and 19 TDs

Gronk: 146, 2029 and 26 TDs

An amazing TE class, but to say that Gresham hasnt produced is not accurate. Imagine his #'s if he had Brees or Brady throwing him the ball.

I doubt he would be thrown to as much because Brees and Brady would rather throw to someone who doesn't alligator catch passes or bat balls in the air that was right at their chest.

he shortarmed one pass in week 1 and now he's got alligator arms? Yeah, he's dropped some easy ones (and made some insane catches). Once he gets rolling this year you guys can talk about how good he is instead of bitching about a really good player.

Have to side with Servo on both debates (Dunlap and Gresham).....Dunlap is a difference maker on defense, and Gresham, though inconsistent, has generally been productive...with the emergence of Binns and baby hawk it will become easier for Gresham to be a major influence......

I never said he wasn't productive in the past. He was, but he is also inconsistent as hell. And he hasn't been productive thus far this year. Yesterday he was decent but still had at least 1 drop where the ball hit him in the face mask.

Yeah, that was an easy drop. But can we give the guy a fuckin' break if he has a couple bad games coming off of injury? Some players (i.e. Maulaluga, Denis Roland, Eric Ghiaciuk, Rod 'Toast' Jones...there's been a ton) have truly been terrible. As Bengals fans we've seen our share of piss poor football players. Now, we've got some legit talent. Young talent at that. I'm not saying these guys are a contender yet (the defense is way too pourous for that) but the constant bitching, this 'guy is terrible' chatter around her gets tiresome...especially when we're talking about players who are actually good and would start for most NFL teams.

I didn't say he was terrible, but he is average at best in my opinion, at least until he shows me more. It is okay to be average, but when you start comparing him to the elite TE's in t he league, his performance over the first three games is going to come under review.

Don't get me wrong, I like Gresham, and think he can be really good, but as Tubbs has said, he is inconsistant from game to game and play to play. One play he looks like a superstar, the next he is dropping a pass that was perfectly thrown right to his chest at the first down marker. I like him, but I am not going to even bring his name up when discussing elite TE's in the league, YET!

"When (Robert Griffin III) goes to the bathroom tonight, he's going to see Mike Johnson right behind him." Defensive end Carlos Dunlap to the team's website about Johnson, who sacked RG3 three times.
LOL.
